8:07am ,monday, labor day, still out of control, 14000 acres and 300 homes gone, lets hope it can be contained.

I live in Bastrop at High Timbers and Had to Evacuate from there from what I am hearing so far my House is still in good shape hopefully but we lost our Garage :(

@Therunaway102 ....I know they are evacuating the area between Watterson Rd to the west, FM 535 to the south, and Easley Rd to the east....which is all south of the river....about 45 min to an hour ago. The news reported there have been NO injuries thus far. Pray for the firefighters to have the strength and endurance to put it out.....

@imoprahrich From what i heard 1441 (road by the lake from 95 and 21) is 100% closed. I THINK they are keeping the fire from getting into the main part of the park.

My father and grandmother live in the alum creek area (the place that burned 2 years ago)

My sister is heading out there right now to get stuff from the house if it is open/still there.

Ill post an update here when she tells me which roads are still closed.

@imoprahrich only 75% "contained" but it will get worse in the morning and tomorrow, they said back down to 65% due to the winds and sun coming up.

So this wont be over with until tuesday night.

This video was uploaded at 6:30 p.m. It is now 10 p.m. and the fire is still burning in Bastrop, TX. We've got fires all over the area south to I-10. Delhi, Texas is burning too.
