  • This isn't metal.

  • @geldofpunk32 yes you are right, this is not metal, is EPIC METAL.

  • that song's a total bulshit...

  • He should do a song with Nightwish.

  • wow what an inspration this guy is, most 87 year olds do not even know what metal even is.

  • Is true that Marco Sabiu composed, orchestrated a and arranged this album?

  • God Bless you , Sir Christopher.

  • Christopher Lee will kill you with his voice!

  • @kennethelp Somebody further down in the comments said the guy behind Christopher Lee in the video was Tony Kakko, which it clearly isn't! :)

  • It's not Tony Kakko, it neither looks like him or sounds like him!

  • Everything Chuck Norris did Christopher Lee did before creation began.

    Twice.

  • @Mikhavoc Lol, that's the truth right there! :)

  • @Mikhavoc ...And he did it better!

  • I've never owned any heavy metal cd's, but Christopher Lee makes a compelling argument that I should amend that.

  • Who is that faggot behind Chris in 00:57? And why is this guy even in this video, he's not on the cd!

  • @BrainSeepsOut is tony kakko the singer of sonata arctica...such a poser

  • @pablogabrielplaza

    Wait, WHAAAAT?

he sounds so shitty in this video!

  • @pablogabrielplaza hmm i guess you have never seen tony kakko

  • @BrainSeepsOut I believe he is the Young Charlemagne. He gets the last "I shed the blood of the Saxon men" in the choruses. You know, the one with the squelch.

  • congratulations Sir Christopher Lee. Im listening to the album right now. Its beautiful :)

  • this would probably go well with a fantasy film

  • I appreciate all the positive comments for this legend! My answer to everyone's comments is thus: Sir Lee still looks great for his age, and more importantly sounds great, and IF CHRISTOPHER LEE says it's metal, than it's METAL!

  • he did better with rhapsody

  • Wow, Sir Lee is starting to look terrible!

    Live long, Sir Christopher Lee!

  • @penguinofhell he is very old you know.

  • remembering the roles Lee played so far,he ought to take part in an old school black metal record...with Gorgoroth or Carpathian Forest, for example...not symphonic metal. It is not evil enough!

  • The man is a legend and one of the best actors out there. Such a speaking voice!

  • he is awesome I just wish he didn't look so funny with that sword and the croked crown XD hahaha reminds me of the king in disney's robin hood... XD

  • This is awesome.

  • This album may or may not be great, i personally don't like it, but it IS NOT HEAVY METAL!!!

  • @MrNecropink

    i totalt agreee !!!

  • Christopher Lee!!!!

    \m/'.'\m/

  • Interestingly enough, I've read that, through his mother's side, he is actually related to Charlemagne / Carolus Magnus / Karl der Grosse or Charles the Butcher, as we refer to him (I'm Bavarian ... :)

Happy 88th birthday, Sir Christopher - a hail to the next 20 years!

  • Charlemagne is insanely good.

The symphonic metal really really works on the album. So epic and powerful.

If you ever doubt this album, just remember....he's 87 years old for goodness sake!

  • @0ressurection0 But he shed the blood of 4,000 Saxon men.

  • @0ressurection0 89 now.

  • Just to let you know, these few seconds of lame green-screen, low budget stuff IS NOT indicative of the overall quality of the album. Hearing the whole thing from beginning to end is astonishing. It's like an in-depth history lesson, only you're actually interested in it. It's really groundbreaking, and I hope he makes more albums like it.

  • It looks like the video is lame, but just hearing it in pure audio its pretty awesome.

  • @SirBrass Of course the video is stupid. It's meant to be silly.

But the album itself was really impressive. Christopher Lee is another celebrity who thinks that he can sing. And holy crap, he is a great singer!

  • guys 87, i hate how people are being so judge mental, let him live his golden years as he wants.

  • @homashijma Evidently he did something right, he was awarded the ‘Spirit of Hammer’ award at the Metal Hammer Golden God awards on June 15th. I'd like to think I'll be picking up my first metal award when i'm 88.

  • christopher lee es genial...pero que montaje de video tan guarro!

no esta a la altura de lee

  • oh god what

  • I like Christopher Lee like a Actor, but doing this? This is not Heavy Metal, is a Discography Idea for do more Money whith his Name.

Poor people like this, you are not Metal Kids.

  • I like Christopher Lee like a actor, but doing this Comercial Metal? For me is a Dicography project for Do more money. This is Not Heavy Metal is ridicoulus

  • Hey, i just like it, it is very wierd symphonic epic metal and not crap as someone here wrote. If i needed to listen to growling i would listen to death metal.Thumb up for Christopher Lee. Must order CD.

  • omg... that was creepy... i know that all this symphonic metal stuff always tend to be cheesy, but this.... this is waaay beyond cheesy.... maybe this should remain a "dark secret"

  • When he sung with Rhapsody he sounded amazing! But this is.... different! I'm a big fan of symphonic metal (bands like Epica and Kamelot) and I love Christopher Lee, but I just don't think this is working for him.

Idk, maybe the cheap green-screen effects are what ruined it for me.

  • Why are you bitchin about the video? Is that really what metal is about?

  • Gee, it was infinetly better to listen to the album without watching this video :S I still salute you, Christopher Lee. Few could take this task at his age. No matter how good or bad it turns out in the end, he's awesome beyond imagination considering his age.

  • What is THIS? Who is responsable for that video? It looks cheap, cheap, cheap... Poor Sir Christopher, even your worst Dracula was better done than this "heavy rubbish"!

  • The music video looks like something off of public access television or the A/V department of a high school or small college.

  • @danielinraleigh

Yeah. They could have at least TRIED and make it a bit more dynamic than people standing in front of a completely static camera.

But hey, it's the kickassery of Lee that matters!

  • @BrainSeepsOut What is wrong with midi tracks?

  • @BrainSeepsOut

I stand corrected. The symphonic track is NOT MIDI.

  • @BrainSeepsOut Do it yourself, see if you can do any better. Then you can come back and talk silly. You don`t even have the balls.

  • @yfytgfjhgkjhg

I don't have the money. One doesn't need balls to make a music video.

  • Well the music video could been way way better. I agree on that. But the music is awsome in my opinion. And doing that kind of work when your close to 90 is GREAT. I think the musicians and mr Lee did a very good job.

  • Christopher lee is the guy who played sauruman in LOTR and Dooku in star wars.

  • 0:56 ohh god!! I love C L but this Video is sooooo horrible. Why they do a stupid and cheap production like this???????

  • Count Dooku sings! LOL!

  • Ok Chris, it's time to retire.

  • I love Christopher Lee and his voice but this music Video is horrible. He should pay more money for better music videos.

  • This is damned cool

  • Granted it's not Iron Maiden or Metallica, but it's more music on the lines of Rhapsody of Fire and Fairyland with the opera singing style of Tarja Turunen.

Besides, it's this style of music that symphonic metal is on the lines off.

  • stupid religions

  • Sauron

  • @ghostrid3 It's Saruman............

  • I love Christopher Lee but damn this was weird shit.

  • Wow, he looks like he's getting up there in years. Though I might not find this appealing. But, good on him for continuing to perform.

  • @Bear5177 He is 86 I believe.

  • @gof22 He's 88 now.
