Alright, I do not understand the complete obsession that this and the Halo ODST: Live Action trailers are receiving. Personally I don't think that Halo is even that decent of a game. There is on thrill to playing it (for me), in fact the only reason I finished the game at all is because of the epic music that was incorporated into it. This trailer isn't exciting at all for the most part and has many flaws. The acting is poor and none of the story makes any sense. Please respond to this.
It makes sense if you can believe in Aliens and human genetic engeneering...its a sci-fi world...you can't take it literal. Plus if you read the books you WILL understand the FULL story...the game only covers the Master Chief..not any of the other spartans that are alive and fighting.
Also at 4:19 you can see "ODST" designated in the visor cam of the wounded ODST, when we see the helmet cam of the medic it just says "UNSC Corpsman."
I always thought HALO was one of the most retarded game series ever made however this short film kicks ASS!!!!! If Halo was as gridy and realistic like this film oppose to the flamboyant "family friendly" bullshit that it is I'd probably play it.
With all do respect HALO has never been family friendly, the trilogy has always maintained a Mature rating, the story presented in the trilogy has always stood on its own as a artistic sci-fi action game. If you read the novels the story is actually as gridy as this movie. They are just meant to be different then the current trend of games. However with titles like ODST and Reach you are going to see the real gridy side of HALO while maintaining what has always made the franchise different.
Last I read, budget issues have postponed the halo movie indefinitely. What I like is that Neill Blomkamp can do so much with so little, budget wise that is. This and Alive in Joberg are great short films. I would really like to see this made into a feature film with Blomkamp in the director's chair.
They aren't so much as rumors, but are starting to turn into rumors, but Steven Speilberg might be taking over. I hope it is true, because I love him, Neil Blomkamp and Peter Jackson, they do so great!!! And if Speilberg does do the Halo movie, he better put the Cheif in it. I know there's a big fuss over that if they keep him in the armor, the actor won't get any gace time and no one will recognize hime, but oh-well, people will flock to see it, if they must, change the armor he wears, IDC.....
As far as the people worrying about actor's face time, I say look at movies like say, V for Vendetta, you never ever see Hugo Weeving's face and his character was still pretty well put together.

5.Make it a balance between depressing and exciting.

It's a video of how they foudn the master chief, the guy was using a laser to track the master cheif's decent so they could work out where the master chief would land.
Loads of them men and women died trying to get that information, just goes to show how important the master chief is.

Alright, I do not understand the complete obsession that this and the Halo ODST: Live Action trailers are receiving. Personally I don't think that Halo is even that decent of a game. There is on thrill to playing it (for me), in fact the only reason I finished the game at all is because of the epic music that was incorporated into it. This trailer isn't exciting at all for the most part and has many flaws. The acting is poor and none of the story makes any sense. Please respond to this.

Plus its just a promo film for halo3. Its not meant to be a multi layered action epic.
Its a pretty gritty faced paced great little short in which you can see the directors style transferd over to District 9 to great effect

It makes sense if you can believe in Aliens and human genetic engeneering...its a sci-fi world...you can't take it literal. Plus if you read the books you WILL understand the FULL story...the game only covers the Master Chief..not any of the other spartans that are alive and fighting.

theres only 2 odst's in this video, you can tell by their darker colored armor and the enclosed helmet. Everyone else in the video are just marines.

Also at 4:19 you can see "ODST" designated in the visor cam of the wounded ODST, when we see the helmet cam of the medic it just says "UNSC Corpsman."

I always thought HALO was one of the most retarded game series ever made however this short film kicks ASS!!!!! If Halo was as gridy and realistic like this film oppose to the flamboyant "family friendly" bullshit that it is I'd probably play it.

With all do respect HALO has never been family friendly, the trilogy has always maintained a Mature rating, the story presented in the trilogy has always stood on its own as a artistic sci-fi action game. If you read the novels the story is actually as gridy as this movie. They are just meant to be different then the current trend of games. However with titles like ODST and Reach you are going to see the real gridy side of HALO while maintaining what has always made the franchise different.

Last I read, budget issues have postponed the halo movie indefinitely. What I like is that Neill Blomkamp can do so much with so little, budget wise that is. This and Alive in Joberg are great short films. I would really like to see this made into a feature film with Blomkamp in the director's chair.

They aren't so much as rumors, but are starting to turn into rumors, but Steven Speilberg might be taking over. I hope it is true, because I love him, Neil Blomkamp and Peter Jackson, they do so great!!! And if Speilberg does do the Halo movie, he better put the Cheif in it. I know there's a big fuss over that if they keep him in the armor, the actor won't get any gace time and no one will recognize hime, but oh-well, people will flock to see it, if they must, change the armor he wears, IDC.....

Fuck Spielberg, he's made a lot of brilliant films, but he's made a lot of terrible ones as well. I vote Niell Blomkamp, he's fresh and District 9 looks stunning. I think he'd give us a very memorable Halo movie.

It's a bit related yes, but the subject isn't about the footage, it's about the producer, I don't really mind people talking about the producer. I DO mind however, people starting to talk about other movies, which are only relative to the producer and not with this film

When our knowlege of a producer is limited entirely to his contribution to cinema, then when you discuss his films you're pretty much discussing him, and so we were arguing which producer would be best set for a Halo adaptation which this is clearly a pilot for. my guess is that the covenant forces have landed on the marines' training area. i know because i'm a military guy myself and you will see bunch of walls in certain training areas.
however, i'm only guessing, so i could be wrong. i have no idea why the director made it this way,
