  • I think it is important to point out though, he is aying ALL faiths will be respected even more now and tolerated. Not just his faith or christians or catholics. ALL-new age faiths, wiccans etc. Watch and see. That will be the big sursprise, surprise.

  • I have no doubt-no doubt we are watching the new President of the United States. Brilliant speech. He has my vote now and I typically vote democrat, Had I been old enough to vote for Reagen I would have though.

  • @mikeymust The US was racist until the 1950s... The US was created with faith in a higher power... Martin Luther King re-asserted the existence of God constantly in his speeches and letters... Romney suggesting a tolerant America where all beliefs are shared freely. What you seem to suggest is the opposite. Complete intolerance; one where any show of personal belief is condemned. You seem to be intelligent, so it bewilders me that you watched a Romney speech while feeling this way. Intolerance.

  • This guy is a moron. Re-asserting the existence of God at every turn, mentioning the 'truths' of his faith. Religion should have no place in politics, especially one as blatantly fraudulent as Mormonism. How can he stand there talking of equality whilst being a member of a group that was until 1978 an officially racists organisation?

  • Newt Romney for Resident of the USA 2012!

  • @BrettJohnson613 I dont see how you make the assessment that he is confused. Jesus being the way was something Romney never denied.

  • He's so uninspiring, it hurts. Just imagine how this man will look and sound standing next to President Barack Obama in the 2012 debates.

  • @Elrich89 He is Republicans best bet not only to beat Obama but to get this country on track.

  • @johnhale50 Then the Republicans are royally screwed.

  • @Elrich89 you are the one who is screwed u dip shit.

  • @johnhale50 Wonderful comeback, eloquent and intelligent. I know some intelligent Republicans, and I'm going to pretend that you don't represent them.

  • @Elrich89 Im going to pretend you are not a flamming faggot but it will not change the fact that you like having dik in your ass... u ass wipe.

  • @johnhale50 Look at you. You're a 33-year-old man and you're typing hateful, abusive comments towards people you don't know on YouTube. What is wrong with you? You've gone from supporting Barack Obama and quoting Nelson Mandela to hating him and supporting Ron Paul and Mitt Romney in the space of 2 years. What exactly has happened to you to change your views so radically??

  • @Elrich89 it must be painfull to be as retarded as you are...

  • i'd take a mitt over obama any day, but can one man really make a difference? aren't we RULED by the Rockafellers and the elite well conncected bankers?

  • The fallacy of Jefferson, Washington and Lincoln not being Christian don't change the reality, well documented, of what good, Christian men they were.

America is a Christian country and will only remain strong as long as it's people continue to be so. Now we as a nation are turning away from God, and our country is going down the road to socialism, away from freedom.

Listen to what Governor Romney is saying; he's predicting what happens when we fail to follow God.

  • Thomas Jefferson was not a christian but a deist. He did not believe on the divinity of Juses or the trinity. He was called be some the "infidel" President. He said: "Question with boldness the exixtence of god"

George Washington wasn't a christian either. Also a deist.

Abraham Lincoln said: "The Bible is not my book and Christianity is not my religion".

Let's get god out of this election and start dealing with REAL issues!

  • You know what's great about that whole rant of yours? He doesn't cite Jefferson and Lincoln as Christians, he mentions the Christian values of the founding fathers and individually quotes things that they DID SAY.

This speech was brought on because of the relentless harassment of the press and uninformed masses.

He spoke because he had to, and he spoke the truth.

  • Wow, Romney's really calling out radical Islam by name! How many jihadist massacres will result?

I don't see myself voting for Romney, but I have to hand it to him for this speech so far. It's very, very good.

  • disgusting........

  • Sad that after a positive speech like this, you can only offer your depressing assessment of "disgusting." Truly sad.

  • Yes. This man is truly disgusting. He will not win the nomination. And he will never become President. Sorry if you feel differently.

  • Disgusting? Disgusting?? Why? What is your reasons - if any? I don't feel sorry for feeling differently. We are each entitled to our own opinions, but you better be prepared to defend your views when you use blatantly personal and subjective terms such as "disgusting."

I don't know if Mitt will win or not....still lots of time to go...

Either way your mindless hate is pretty pathetic....or should I say disgusting?

  • @zinner77 He might not win but he certainly is not disgusting.

  • The guy is awesome and clearly respects all religions and understands the history and intent of our founding fathers, people of faith. Deal with it, no one cares that you reject God, so stop and put your PC blanky away you big cry baby!

  • The guy is awesome and clearly respects all religions and understands the history and intent of our founding fathers, people of faith. Deal with it, no one cares that you reject God, so stop put your PC blanky away you big cry baby!

  • If you're not with us then you're against us.. and he calls that freedom.

  • Separation of Church and State is a joke! Look at all the Christian agendas in politics and government. Separation of church and state does not exist today. This guy is piling it on until roses grow from it.

  • Whatever...

  • In this clip, why does Romney mention something he likes about every major religion and then attacks secularism. Why not include agnostics and atheists for their steadfast position of truth seeking?

The fact that Romney decided to make a speech on faith further proves there is no divide between church and state. It is all political.

  • Last I checked, they aren't religions and he was talking about religious freedoms, not agnostics and atheists. Your not worshipping anything and do not have anything to do with religion. Our founding fathers were all men of faith and it is well documented.

  • It is impossible to understand America's founding and history unless you

first understand the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence,

which asserts as Truth that our liberty comes from God. (We only "lend" it

    to government.)

  • "They're wrong"

    hahahaha. What a moron

  • That's right, the M is silent.

  • John I'm sure in my beliefs. Nor do I agree with what you believe but dose that make me dislike you or have less respect for you No I just think you have had different life experances than I have led you where you are and what you believe. I like you just fine and I don't feel discriminated against.

  • John why is having a faith and expressing it discrimination ? are you so unsure in your beliefs that you are shaken when you here another's view? I don't get it. I don't feel slighted because of someone elses beliefs.

  • Romney discriminates against secularists, and atheists.

  • I'm a secularist, and I couldn't disagree with you more.

  • Have you been listening to him? He is trying to get favor with the religious right by making a common enemy with the non-religious.
