I can understand why 'Rory O'Shea was here' would be more compelling. Simply put the title gives the ending away. American audiences can be very tricky when trying to get people to watch movies based on titles. But the title gives this sense of loss and doubt. I refer to the title as 'Inside I'm dancing.'

I'm french and I've seen this movie in english lesson. It's so beautiful, simple, and true, i was so moved after watching it. And the worst is that I cannot show it to my parents cause they don't speak english : it's not translated, even the subtitles ! Why on earth this movie isn't translated honestly ??

Just the premise alone was enough to make me interested in watching this movie and it totally surpassed my expectations. My wife works with the handicapped and with quite a few "consumers" (as they're called at the agency she works for) that have C.P.. I hard a hard time convincing her that Steven Robertson didn't actually have the affliction. I think I cried harder than she did! An amazing movie and definitely worth another watch.

I think Steven Robertson (Micheael) did an amazing job acting as a man with disability and so did James McAvoy acting as Rory O'Shea. I watched this film a few years ago and was blown away then and no matter how many times i watch it it has the same affect this is my fav film ever.

I love this movie and James and Steven did an amazing job.  James must have gone bonkers not being able to move except for his head a bit and two fingers. I loved how Steven's character, Michael, and he is just as sexy as James. The scene on the brige makes me cry every time.

Yea James did an amazing job on the accent thing but i think the more amazing thing he does in this film is being confind to a wheelchair yet not being physically disabled. He kept so still (his neck and fingers must have got so stiff). And he was till able to act so amazingly dispite physical limitations and that says alot about him.

Yeah, Region 1 dvd (US & Canada) doesn't have it... I pretty much bought the Region 2 one just for this. (I was going to buy the dvd anyway, so I might as well get the one with more JAMES ;-p)
