  • what did u do when u couldnt find it

  • OH GOD it went to my head, my heaaaaaaad.

  • I hope there something similar in Human Revolution. I love those kind of secrets.

  • I saw it during my second walkthrough/

  • Freaking old news

  • I found it the first time too. I was expecting something like that ;)

  • I found it the first time. It might have helped that I ran straight past the bot, and lost my legs so I was on eye level with it :P

  • cool. never knew

  • Music is really immerse from the start.

  • I found it when i was playing 1st time.I know 2 more secret rooms.I found 19 Augmentation Upgrade Canisters throughout the game.I know all of this. But still i am not sure i have explored all the secrets.I am playing this game from 5 and half years again and again. But my curiosity never ended. There is no game like this 1 exist.Even the sequels are lame compared DEUS EX 1.

  • I found it the first time just cuz it's an obviouusly protruding brick and it's pretty hard to miss.

  • hmm, nice but... I have never played the training mission before ... when I first installed it, the game asked me "do you want to go through the training first?"

    ...?

HELL NO!! give me the guns and some LIFE-FIRE shooting training!! :D

  • @eliviant it appears you miss the point of the game

  • wouldnt be that hard to find in real life, given that the switch is a massive, out of place brick :P

  • I was so perceptive that I found this room when I first time played the game :-) There should a room like this in Human Revolution as a reference to this one. That would be a great fan service.

  • How great. You found an empty room with a hologram in it. How useful. Now you are the big ass agent of UNATCO.

  • Way to debut on Youtube.

  • I NEVER PLAYED TRAINING... I JUST BEGAN TO PLAY THE GAME IN REAL MODE...

XD i learned to play, dying and dying once again with those motherfucking bots in liberty island

  • mais c'est francais tout ca!

  • @Rincewind211 oui! bon fraçaise par tout

  • lol, i found it the first time

  • it doesnt matter how many times you played it through theres always something you missed

  • @kokolihapulla

thats dues ex all over again

  • love those hologram things,i always fire the gep gun at them so that the hologram runs off :)

  • Wow, I never noticed that.

  • It took me quite some time before i found the sunken boat in the first mission.

  • Ive played this game 10 times and I never found that!

  • deus ex will never cease to amaze me

  • I found this secret the first time I played it...

Too bad there will not be another game like this. There is always hope.

  • @WarBerJr02 ok im not to sure on the release years but theres a little bit of games like it sya like mm.... unreal, duke nukem, and im SOOOOOO SORRY to list this one but... tomb raider do to secrets, environments, and people constantly ordering you what to do...

  • @grekor84 All of those games have a linear story line that requires you to go from point A to B to C etc. Deus Ex was the first game that had many equally challenging ways of completing a level and moving on to the next level. And, though new games have come out, like Half Life 2 they still do not allow the player to do more than follow a single story line to get to the end of the game.

  • @WarBerJr02

Except that in Deus Ex you also follow a single story line. Although the levels have more options, there is no way of getting the levels in a different order or getting different levels based on your earlier choices (except for a few, minor, differences)

  • @JoshuatheKodiak Paul Denton, enough said...

  • that loose brick kinda stabs you in the eye when you go near it so it's hard not to go and explore it

  • Been there, done that.

  • The sequel to this freakin sucks, it's actually worse than the original rofl

  • @3eau2aniel

"it's actually worse than the original".................. you do realize deus ex 1 is one of the best games ever made..........

  • Years and years later, I'm still learning about new stuff in this game.

Deus Ex. Greatest ever. If only the game industry, in particular that for PC, were in such a state that a game like Deus Ex could be made again. Sadly, it doesn't look that way. All hail the genius of this title

  • Invisible War screwed me because I never picked the option you're lumbered with.

  • i found it the second time cuz my legs were broken

  • umm what game is this is this a computer game or a console game?

  • @smiletehk Both. PS2 and computer personally i recommend the computer one.

  • @smiletehk

PC, it was also ported to the PS2 but it is terrible on PS2.

  • @smiletehk PC an PS2

  • i actually found it in the first try

  • @PeterFrederikDomsten same here, found it very early. Not really that well hidden.

  • @12punisher12 yup, for a hidden button, its quite visible, when the other wall doesnt have one, and when close you screen pings "Super top secret randomly placed button with no function AT ALL!!!" :D

  • Each time i played the game, i discovered a new site for ammo, for entrance, new people, new tips, new passwords, new codes, and still, there are some places that are still mysteriously hidden or keypads with no way to find their code, after 10 years of replaying the game.

    Brilliant!

  • oh comon, this room is practically given

  • Deus Ex 3 better have a secret room in the training area.

  • wow u notice everything

  • hey can someone tell me what PLACE that is? Where is it? Why do u have so little augs and items?

  • @ONNIHOLTTA This is the training area, which was not included in the PS2 release. You'd only see this if you played the PC version.

  • @Azsalyn yep i know that now

  • @Azsalyn i wish i had the pc version

there will never be a game like deus ex

    ):

  • @robdist You could grab it off of steam.

Also, I noticed the switch to open it, but not the large open door it made. xD

  • @Slaanash off the steam?

  • i havent found that ever and i have finished dx time

  • oops,2 times

  • Found it on my first playthrough

  • I've played through this game so many times, I knew where every supply crate was and what was in it, where every enemy was and their route and what every code was for every door....but I can't believe I never ever found this room

  • Best thing about "Deus Ex" is if you say it with a lisp.

That and the game's incredibality. (And if tht aint a word then it shud be...tht is if you understood it's meaning)

  • I remembe being bitterly disapointed with the lack of cool shit in that room.

  • I found it the first time.

But as he says "Don't let it go to your head.".

  • i didnt know about this!

  • I had never seen that room, thanks !

  • What a shame.

  • WELL I DIDNT FIND IT THE FIRST TIME,AND WHAT? as long as my gep gun has enough ammo,I dont need secret doors

*goes to his bedroom and cries*

  • @cocasosa carry on, agent

  • yeah i missed that a few times too, wasnt that great when i found it though seeing how they dont even award skill pts.

  • useless discussion in that zone xd

  • I love how this is the only training mission in all games I've played that actually already makes some foreshadowing for the actual game (I mean Bob Page talking to you at the ending). This way, you felt that it really belonged to the game rather than being an extra tutorial level just for training. I mean, basically it is, but.. uhm.. I hope you get my point. :D

  • I found it first time. i still don't understand what it's for though

  • It's a secret room they test if you can find it. You're a "Good Agent" if you do. Kinda great spot for an achievement, aye? ;)

  • There's also another hidden room in Area 51 that has a transmission come in from Jaime; If I remember, it's the same transmission played here =p

  • I don't even remember seeing the room you were first in... D:

  • It´s in the finale of the training mission.

  • I found it the first time i played.

    I have good eyes =)

  • most of us did i think

  • Cause we're all awesome ^_^

  • lol you make my day man xD

  • Me too:D.

  • damn, after so many playthroughs.... guess I'm not the perfect agent manderly was searching for ;)

  • What a shame I liked the secret rooms.

  • That was a bit dissapointing when I found that room. Not even a lil bit of ammo or credit as a reward. I felt jipped.

  • i found this the first time i played the tutorial

  • Same.

  • i found this by 1st time :P but maybe it because i always play very sloooow :) so i know all secrets :PPP

  • Same. Guess I should've read this comment first and replied to it, heh.

  • same here, but i think deus ex can be played how you like it ^^ I pefer the slow wa too.

  • @gapa8

It's in the hologram room in the trainning...

  • @gapa8 Manderly likes agents like you!

  • I have wished the exact same thing... lol (sorry had to reply to this 7 month old comment)

  • old man warning

  • lol nice, never found this spot. I always kinda rush :D

  • also in hong kong, on top of one of the sky scrapers in the beginning town area, Max Chen is walking ON TOP OF A BUILDING and he calls it the triad HQ.

  • oO really? How do I get there?

  • you can either noclip, or stack LAMs ontop of each other.

  • blimey! i never noticed this! i dont know how though :P i guess it mustve been just because i kept looking at all the holagrams of dudes. heh oh well, thanks for posting

  • I found this on first time, i thought it was part of it. but then again i did watch a bunch of scooby doo. And leme tell ya when theres a suspicous looking brick out of place its easy to guess what it dose.

  • found it my second tutorial but to be fair that was after I did hong kong and got used to finding odd little places

  • That wasn't Hong Kong. That was the training/tutorial mission accessible from the main menu of the game. It put you through a firing range, taught you how to use a Hazmat suit, and finally pitted you against a UNATCO droid thing. But I remember it clear as day, and the secret room noted above was in that training exercise/tutorial mission.

  • Not really, seeing as this is a tutorial. It is a very small series of rooms, and there is not much complexity involved in the training rooms.

  • Oh, I'll have to look for that. I've been on those billboards dozens of times, but never found the room.

Embarassingly, I only found the flooded tunnel with the three karkians and dead body behind the Old China Hand in HK last year.

It's amazing that you can have a game for 8 years and still have things to find in it.

  • i found the same room!

no idea- i assumed they were planning to make some extra parts of that level- but didn't finnish and left that room in

  • Yup, I remember that. It confusing the CRAP out of me, I kept trying to figure out what to do there, hahah. At first I thought it was part of Jock's apartment "flat", but... no... it's not, lol.

  • Meh, easy secret.

  • i got that on my first go

  • this is not an secret door :/

its just in the training mission

  • I'm confused... how is it not a secret door just because it's in the training mission?

  • i couldnt open the door iwas to short cause the mech blew my legs off

  • What a shame.

  • Deus Ex - there wont be another game like it sadly.

  • When I see Halo 3, I think, "improving quality!"

  • Deus Ex 3 is coming on 2009

  • and will be on the PC, XBOX 360 and PS3 :)

  • I'm psyched. I was hoping to get on the team to offer voice-overs, but... no response, hahahah!

  • Is that something cool ? Pricks, look at Invisible War and you will see it : the multiplatform BULLSHIT.

Still wondering how they could have been so bad on this one (IW)

  • then make a video and show us and stop complaining

  • stop ya moaning this game rules over invisible war

  • invisible war sucked hard salty balls, only thing it improved on over the original was throwing corpses

  • @170166 yeah wish they would make a remake of it :(

  • @170166 well there will because there's a sequel coming up early 2011, the trailer looks amazing, its actually a prequal to this game for Xbox 360, Ps3 and Pc. 1st person shooter and the graphics look amazing :p

  • @MiniMarcify from what i know, deus ex 3 is actualy a prequel to deus ex 1.. but besides that, graphics wont save it from failing with story if they end up failing..

  • Yeah I found this first time I did training as well.

  • lol i found it 1st time in 2001 rofl i like this door. nicely made

  • Ohh lol niceeeeee xD

  • i found that the first time i played training, it gets u prepared to find other secret rooms in the game there are 3 or 4.

  • I remember that I found that door by sheer luck. My gamma was very low and I passed something in a white box. I went back and found it :P

By now I already know how to use the gamma to see better in dark areas.

  • I found that the very first time I played the game...

  • yeah

I know of a bunch but goddamn

I wonder how many I missed

  • What a door indeed.

I've been looking up Deus Ex videos for the past few hours and I have seen so much new stuff that I have never experienced in the game myself. The game is so inconceivably complex, I am beginning to think I will never see every detail in the game.

  • Well, I've played through Deus Ex many times and found a lot of things and I still know about a few I haven't found yet (like entering UNATCO HQ right at the begining, escaping with Paul instead of letting him die or "dying" with him) and I'm quite sure there's still more. I love this game so much...

  • Hide in the closet when you get back to his apartment. He's a plot-critical NPC, so the only way he can die is if you die first.

The funny thing is though, he thanks you after he saves his own butt...

  • Oh man, I missed that too. I've only been there once. But man, what a door.
