All the apps are free with the exception of Telenav, which is absolutely worth the $6 a month I pay for it (prepaid). The other apps are free, but do offer pay options if you don't like commercials (slacker) or limited functionality on WorldMate.
I clean uo the screen by creating a new filefolder called UNUSED. I move all the unused stuff into that folder and then create additional folders to combine related tasks..make navigating a breeze!
streaming? on the device memory? DVD fab is a great program to format dvd's for the BlackBerry (a bit quicker than Roxio which is included in the desktop manager).
thanks for this vid as well as the links. did you notice any battery drainage after installing these apps? i added Worldmate and Poynt a few days ago..and my battery would drain so quickly! I un installed those 2 apps..and now the battery is fine again?
You will definitely have battery drain with those apps if left running in memory. Best advice I can give is to exit the application from the menu, not just the END key or back key. Poynt is keeping your location in check, as you roam it does too. Worldmate will update as needed to its servers, so I could absolutely see them being a hog. I'm not thrilled with the Storm battery life out of the box, but with a little managing on the app side, I survive. Enjoy and thanks for the comment.
Just wondering, what is the video format for this phone?? Is there a proper video converter thats works??

if you want a free GPS application why not use the google maps app? its free

Google maps, bb maps both are cool. But no voice option sucks. But you can't beat the cost.

itsasad117 2 years ago
You need to pay Verizon up to $9.99 to use VZ navigator. To each is own, but I don't mind the monthly ding. The maps are updated for me on the fly.

how did you get a storm for at&t
teamcra 2 years ago
Hello,
It's unlocked. I put an AT&T sim card in. It will work on GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks in north America. It also supports 3G on GSM networks in Europe.

televav is free??
bupponex 2 years ago
Hi,
No, the monthy access fee is $9.95. Which I think is better than a GPS unit that you have to pay for updated maps anyway. Great app!
