Don't mean to sound uneducated here, but what does an field officer do? Are they a company officer assigned to that position or...?

@engine173351 A EMS Field Officer position is a promoted position, and basicly they do the same jobs as the Battalion Chief or District Chief for the Fire Department, but have more experience in the paramedic field .

EMS Field Officer is the Chief for the Paramedics in a certain area.
