You would also be at "C" if there was just a runner at 3rd - not mentioned. It is also acceptable to be in either "B" or "C" with runner's at 1st and 3rd. Also, the base umpire is NEVER responsible to see if a runner touched 3rd - that is the plate umpire's responsibility in a 2-man system.

Technically some of these comments aren't people trying to sound better. They post to try to inform the viewer that most of what he says isn't accurate. There is a lot more to umpiring than what he says but that is understandable. Also it doesn't matter if it is pros or little league. Umpires should be trained correctly. You can always tell the difference if an umpire has been trained or just spends a lot of years doing it.

He's laughable. I would be embarrassed to be associated with this guy.

"Get as close to the base as possible," That's a sure-fire recipe for missing the play.

Umpires can't watch everything, and so telling people to watch every baserunner touch every base is folly. There are more important things on the field to watch than all the touches. If you get them, great, but the base umpire's first responsibility is catch/no-catch, and then fair-foul.

I agree its a rookie video but you can ALWAYS tell its a green ump wearing a bag on the bases. as far a the rest hes ok in this one. the I.F. rule signal can vary from crew to crew though

For the love of god, it's just a damn beginners video. Get off the ballbag already. Who cares? Pay more attention to the positions hes talking about instead of all the superficial b.s. After all, we are talking about little league and not the pros. I've heard it called both p4 and the "c" position. Depends on what part of the country your from.

As a Wendelstedt graduate i can tell you "someonica", you are absolutely correct. But just to elaborate, it's runners on 1st and 2nd, or runners on 1st, 2nd and 3rd with less than 2 outs.

Gimmie a break. Have you seen this guy's other clips? You say home plate as if an umpire only umpires home plate or only umpires one base. Umpires umpire at every base and at home plate. A good umpire would take his ball bag off while working the bases if he wants to show rookies the proper way to umpire.You give this guy too much credit.
