Are you aware that there was a trade triangle which enabled the slave TRADE? Each part of the triangle was crucial to the stade. If one part was removed, it would collapse....
.... the first leg of the triangle brought manufactured materials, such as guns (which the African people did not have) to Africa in order to trade these goods with the Africans for the slaves African tribes had already taken after fighting wars with other African tribes. The 2nd leg was the middle passage the slavers traded the slaves for the raw goods made in the Americas. They took the raw goods back to Europe where factories manufactured goods out of them and shipped some to Africa to trade.
.... As you can see from the very structure of the slave trade, slaves were traded for goods. Goods were given to Africans FOR slaves. Yes, many black slaves were taken by force from the white people, but a significant deal were taken through peaceful dimplomacy and trade with Africans who wanted 'exotic' objects such as guns, as well as cigarettes and other 'smokes' that had been manufactured in Europe from the materials attained from the colonies. The first African sold on American soil was in 1555AD and slavery ended in 1865AD (technically in 1955-'Jim Crow' was in some aspects worse). Lasted longer than the Jewish Holocaust, more brutal and dehumanizing, and we still exist with the descendents of our oppressor - at least the German Jew had a way out-Israel.

1. African Americans were traded (not sold) by tribal leaders (not exactly slavetraders) for goods. Often times they traded prisoners from other tribes for goods such as foods, clothings, and firearms.

He/she was just saying that there are certain groups of black people even to this day who play the victims and blame only white people for slavery when really slavery has been a collective effort throughout history. Are you aware that there was a trade triangle which enabled the slave TRADE? Each part of the triangle was crucial to the stade. If one part was removed, it would collapse....

.... the first leg of the triangle brought manufactured materials, such as guns (which the African people did not have) to Africa in order to trade these goods with the Africans for the slaves African tribes had already taken after fighting wars with other African tribes. The 2nd leg was the middle passage the slavers traded the slaves for the raw goods made in the Americas. They took the raw goods back to Europe where factories manufactured goods out of them and shipped some to Africa to trade.

Yes, many black slaves were taken by force from the white people, but a significant deal were taken through peaceful dimplomacy and trade with Africans who wanted 'exotic' objects such as guns, as well as cigarettes and other 'smokes' that had been manufactured in Europe from the materials attained from the colonies. I don't think all black people are the same...

Mate I don't live in America. I'm getting my BA Hons degree in History from Newcastle University. I was born in Ireland and live in England. 'Black' isn't a nation, it is a skin colour, of which there are varying degrees. This is why throughout I have specifically chosen to identify the people as 'African' rather than 'black'. I do agree that the version of slavery in early modern american and european nations/colonies was by far the most brutal form of slavery ever witnessed. the slavery inflicted by the whites is something that we as a race should accept as being a horrible part of our history. the trans atlantic slave trade is well taught in england by politically correct educational institutions from schools to universities

@mikeybears In the begining of this clip they both were discussing traumatic events that groups or races of people suffer from collectivly over generations. The first African sold on American soil was in 1555AD and slavery ended in 1865AD (technically in 1955-'Jim Crow' was in some aspects worse). Lasted longer than the Jewish Holocaust, more brutal and dehumanizing, and we still exist with the descendents of our oppressor - at least the German Jew had a way out-Israel.

@GermanicGod No, I would not. We did not enslave each other no more that a prisoner of war is forced to work. There was no dehumanization, murder, castration, rape, torture or any of the atrocities that Europeans have done to the Black African including genocide (Leopold's Ghost). I NEVER STATED I HATED ANYONE; you assume this because of what you hear 'triggers' the hate mechanism in your consciouness.
