Why is Dan's head so huge compared to D's? I never thought of that when I first watched this back in the day but now it just seems kind of...meh. I get the whole huge eyes thing. That's just a characterization motif. But the proportion of the head relative to the body doesn't need to be so exaggerated just to emphasize the fact that he's a kid. Anyway, Dan is spirited enough to be portrayed as a respectable character, not an anime stereotype like Spridle.

If you watch d on that couch from 7:49 - 7:51all you see is a black figure, but years ago when aired on the sci-fi channel his whole body was clearly visible, you could see the outline of d. In fact, it was more bluish and he was actually crossing his legs. This was probably the original Japanese version. Thats why i never really appreciated the detail transfer to vhs or dvd cuz they took out some of this films beautiful art design.
