@kobasica if your useing it for a booster you want as much power as fast as you can get it.....in that 1.5 secounds it going to put out a huge amount of thrust
The only thing I hate about these motors is their short ass burn time! I hate that! It needs to be real thick to get at least 3 sec of burn--probably 3 inches plus!
lol, you can chose your burn time all you want. what proportions do you use? try not adding fe2o3, since it can double the burn rate if added the right way
Not really - you can achieve a longer burn by using a different fuel grain geometry. Bates grains like this motor offer limited web thickness. If you want a longer burn in a small motor you can look at going to something like a D-slot or C-slot. I have made C-slot motors at 50mm diameter with 6sec burns before. Of course pressure/thrust curves aren't neutral like a bates grain though.
I think it'll fly higher if you turn it the oter way round :) JK

How do you create a longer burning thrust as the rcandy seems to burn out quickly
does the fuel made from car tyres last longer

Something that big, you gotta let it fly! Come on!

why bother making such a large motor with a burn time of 1.5seconds?

Congratulations to a beutiful motor and the successful test! World class!

Thanks mate. This motor will be launched late this summer in a booster section for a two stage rocket

ye that would be cool, have a very powerfull liftoff, with the ignition of the second stage right before apogee :P

@stone4x4 Agreed. Finally, a professional Motor maker! Some guy who isnt out there to fool around, cuz this is SERIOUS!
