@chaghar Boeing factory has delivered over 13,500 aircrafts from the 707 to the 777. and now they have many orders on the 787; about 850 (847) Airbus has only 583 orders for their A350's. Airbus have only delivered a total of 6557 aircrafts (A300, A310, A320 family (318, 319, 320 & 321), A330, A340 and A380. That's how many 737's boeing have built. So I think Boeing is better, airliners first choice. If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going!
@Deltapilot96 No fucking wtf. You're comparing selling numbers of a company with 70 years of production with another one with 35. That's not even normal to compare. Airbus is kicking Boeing's ass nowadays
@Planespotter11 Boeing delivered 707 18 years before Airbus delivered A300. Boeing is the world's biggest aircraft manufacturer, get over it. And airbus is not selling since "mid 70's" they're selling since late 60's!
@Deltapilot96 Boeing WAS the biggest one. Now you got Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier, etc... The first A300 is from 1970, so you have 40/41 years. I guess 377 strato from boeing is from mid 40's, right? At least 25 years more than Airbus producing airplanes. Airbus is so good that the A330MRTT won the conteste to be a tanker for USAF and you americans had to cancel it to give Boeing a chance with the old 767 mixed with the 787. You guys, playing at home, needed to play dirty. Get lost!
Great video. Believe it or not, 20 years ago, I was allowed to ride in the co-pilot's seat of an A320 Airbus for about 30 minutes on an international flight just for asking! Things sure have changed. It was a great experience and I was sure not to touch anything.
Great video. Believe it or not, 20 years ago, I was allowed to ride in the co-pilot's seat for about 30 minutes on an international flight just for asking! Things sure have changed. It was a great experience and I was sure not to touch anything.
well.. the GWPS has to sound a bit like abnormal so you pay attention to it.. The plane does not call u a retard either.. retard is just the reminder to put the thrust on idle while landing.. why? easy.. Engines need some time to react on inputs.. Therefore you land with the thrust on idle so that the thrust reverser is responding more quickly..plus..smoother landing and nose flare. It s a landing exercise.. Therefore..Landing... Full thrust..Take Off again.. TOGA
in some ways if a person spends there life being a pilot they might feel like they have missed out things on the ground but then again you could also feel that way if you spend 30 years sat in an office not getting out very much. my view on flying is you get to see more up there but from a different perspective and obviously you don't see things in as much detail as on the ground. this is why id love it if pilots would occasionally descend to low altitudes for scenic parts of the flight
Wow this is an older A320. As luisinho said, the A320's that were made and programmed during the late 1980,s early 90's featured this original recording and also a different set of TCAS and ATPL sounds
If your interested in how the pilot lands the plane then it is very interesting! Infact, i think this is better than watching the runway, we get to see it from where it all takes place
The older A320 have that dull voice. The newer ones have a better one - my opinion.
This video is ok. But I find the pilots headset so funny. It looks like it comes from the '70s. Hopefully in the near future he'll be able to afford a new more modern set. :)
Its an order from the aircraft telling the PIC (Pilot In Comand) to 'Retard' the throttles -ie- Bring them to idle. You will only hear it in Airbus cockpits.
Yes it would seem that way but this plane is all ''Fly-by-wire''. So the imput on the joystick is sent to the ailerons/elevators by electrical signals and all controlled by computers. Unlike other aircraft where the ailerons etc...are controlled by cables and stuff. Alot of the control systems on this plane are all computer controlled and electronic.
Yes it's a bit annoying. But this the old A320 GPWS. The oockpit style and GPWS is in the aircraft: HA-LPA,B,C...I. But the new A320-s of Wizzair have the the shiny new cockpit with LCD screens and not this annoying GPWS, these are HA-LPJ,K,L,M
Its around £20 000. It involves a lot of ground work and systems studies. Its mostly done on Level D simulators and at the end you do real circuit training as well as line training. And thats it!
I really like that computer voice. At least you can't mistake it for anyone else's voice in the cockpit. Good design.
