@KAPOLLO101 well people spell Korean in multiple ways.. that's why Romanization fails and can make ppl be confused. technically it doesn't matter because ㄸ is a really hard word to romanize...(it's hard to explain its pronunciation)
@KAPOLLO101 yes I guess what you need to do is just being exposed to Korean a lot.. or practice it/listen to it a lot... I noticed that when foreigners stayed in Korea for a while they're able to say those pretty well. but yes it's one of the hardest things to pronounce in Korean
guys i really love you ^^ i started learning korean by myself three weeks ago, so i know some basics but your videos are such a good help! i also really like to listen to you two speaking, coz you make it fine and interesting!
thanks, thanks, thanks and thanks :D or, aaah, wait: 감사합니다!!!!!!!
if you are in Korea or come to Korea, you can get some at the street stalls :) Or if you want to buy some from stores, you can ask for '어묵' or '오뎅' :)
I think if you use romanization, Korean gets more confusing. For instance, the word chicken is written "dak" but the D in Korean romanization is said more like a "t" so it can throw off correct pronunciation. Also, this way trains your ear to listen to the accent and speak it better.
They have a video with the Hangul alphabet, pronunciations, and romanization of each Korean letter, though. After you memorize that, using Korean letters gets to be easier because you know how to pronounce Hangul.

I know it helps some people, but since I already know how to pronounce different letters in Korean, my alphabet just helps me more. I haven't learned the Korean one yet because I'm learning Japanese.

I kind of agree. They should have some sort of guidance to pronounce the words with the English alphabet aswell...
laracroftroxmysox 3 years ago
this is just to learn vocab, you should already know how to pronounce all the characters if you are watching this video.
