  • it is a shame that david just cant perform live like he used to, but damn atleast he tries. i still remember music as a weapon 2, now that was a fantastic performance- he was perfect (obviously this was way befor his throat surgery) but atleast he didnt give up singing because of it. becuause that would of been terrible!.

    disturbed for ever!

  • I love disturbed, they are one of my favorite bands. and this never happend when i went to their concert, but david sure does squeak alot when he sings live

  • This is why you bring an iPod to a concert. If anyone questions just say digital format sounds better. Not hating, just saying.

  • david nails all other performances. but in the night david fails completely. he just cant reach to the pitch in which he originally sang. here he sounds like he's gonna pop his vocal cord !!!!

  • @bluebeast2630 he might be able to handle them again these days, after hearing the high pitch in the animal and other songs ^^

hope they do play some others beside the main tracklist later :)

  • Disturbed Is the BEST!!!! LOVE THEM!!!!!! MY Favs songs are Fear, and Hell!! ^_^

  • Anyone who thinks this singings good is a rapist.

  • most of the time disturbed fails live....its so sad really but u cant blame them its not easy being on the road specially for a singer

  • @UrProBitch fu disturbed is best if its live or not they r the best of metal bands i have ever heard

  • @shadow1010105 They can't be the best. I didn't say I didn't like them, but they're not the best. Almost every video I've seen of them live, he sound BAD! But, I still love them. Like I said, I can't blame him, he's got balls. Disturbed Rocks!!!

  • @UrProBitch this is only recently and on recent tours... He blew out his voice in the middle of 06' i believe it was and had to cancel the tour. You try singing with that kind of style and technique for more then a decade and see how much your voice holds up.

  • @UrProBitch try to watch Music as weapon II or the Old School Disturbed Live Videos when David had some hair. It's sad David blew out his voice. Even if you're not a Disturbed fan you can't say they suck live in almost every video lol . You can say that because you watched only a fev live vids of Disturbed (2008-2009-2010) . They were so good live around the time they released The "Believe" Album . Anyway, Disturbed Rocks !!! and sorry for my english

  • kinda wish his voice could be deeper when singing this song tho, o well tho, this song iis fucking hard 2 sing..

  • Thats right. I have heard him sing live after his surgery. Yes it's different and you would say that hes straining his voice. But I agree, all your hearing in the video is the treble in the microphone. He really is great live, they rocked the shit down in Ozzfest in 2006.

  • David has improved allot at this song, he used struggle with allot of the notes but now he's kicking ass. And I don't know if you've tried singing this song, it's fucking impossible. So good one David :D.

  • @DisturbedAidan2 yes ii actually signed up 2 sing this song 4 my schools talent show b4 actually attemting iit, and ii realized iit was prob 1 of the hardest songs ever 2 song without my voice and cracking and sounding terrible...

  • averagejoe u r a pleb dave's voice is awesome

  • he sound awesome anyway

  • even as dave said basically, he sings alot better in the darkness and when he's in that mind state.. but he still rocks \m/

  • well maybe you should actually attempt to go to a concert, caz some actually sound pretty decent live. XP

  • i love disturbed whether there live, cd's, and etc. i think they're the most amazing things on the face of the earth. David draiman inspires me. and i love them live!

  • Hellz yea!! Disturbed for Life XD.

  • To Clear things up. i was actually there at this concert and yes there was a few songs where he sounds differant but most of what you hear in this video is just the audio from the device used to record it. actually being there sounded way better.

  • Why the bad voice? That sounds like me singing. Strep throat, I guess. But still, I can tell that is the voice that orginally sang the the song, its just.... like he's out of breath.

  • lol he was probably so happy when the solo hit cause he could hav a little rest

  • its just been fucked up since his surgery

  • The fuck is strep-throat?

  • the album or the song? the song was released before The Night was, but yes the album is the most recent to be released by them. Either way, even though it is the most recent album, it's still hard to pull this song off even if he hasn't been performing this one for years like other songs in the set list.

  • He wasn't even doing bad. This song requires probably the highest level of vocal dynamics that this man is capable of! Anyone else can try singing this song every single night and will fail miserably. Probably the hardest song to pull of live vocally and it still sounded good.

P.S. - He actually did have strep throat at the beginning of the Music as a Weapon run. He even stated in an interview he did but either way, he sounds fine for a sick man in this.

  • you are absolutely right. but disturbed shouldn't use voice effects on the albums. because he cant sund like tht live, except for maybe indestructable

  • well the thing is is that they don't use effects. that is indeed how his actual voice sounds on the record. no studio effects done to make it sound better or anything. the problem is that he sings the song like that for the record only once to get it recorded so of course it sounds exactly how they'd like. when he sings it every day after over a year of relentless touring, it ain't gonna sound the best, or as good as people would like.

  • true, but didn't indestructable come out last

  • yes they do. they layered his voice in this song, and on most of ten thousand fists songs

  • that's not special effects. that's still his regular voice, just being layered over. it's not like they used the studio to change the sound of his voice. a lot of bands do that. plus they only layered it in the very end, you can hear the more high pitched vocals in the background. either way, don't wanna argue over it, i don't consider layering vocals "special effects".

  • ok, im just saying. layering your voice makes it sound different so that he doesnt sound the same when you sing live

  • no i know. i just didn't want this to turn into an argument that's all haha. i completely understand your point.

  • kool :)

  • anybody that says that david had strep throat is a retard it is basically imposible to sing with strep throat and that songs takes alot out of you

  • liked the picture behind them

  • The Night was played 7th in numerical order, Their setlist was the exact same for all of the Weapon tour. Do you really think that he could sing 6 songs before and not sound bad?? No, David did not have Strep throat. They have been on tour since before the release of Indestructible in the beginning of June of 08 in support of the album. Did you ever consider that hes just really tired?? this song just requires a higher level of vocal aerodynamics and the poor guy just couldnt do it at this level

  • His voice was too worn out to preform at the level in which the song demands so in turn the performance suffered. Besides, If he tried to preform with strep throat he probably would have damaged his voice. David is not stupid, Disturbed is not only his band, but his lifestyle and career, he would not have done anything to put that on the line. He did not have strep throat. Lets just put it this way, If he had strep throat at this particular time, then Im as rich as Donald f**kin Trump.

  • And I wish I had that kind of money

  • still, David is a beast when hes on top of shit, which is like 98% of the time, disturbeds concerts are always good, definitly worth paying to see

  • Right you are buddy. I've seen them four times including once in Chicago, Illinois for the Music as a Weapon IV tour and they are ALWAYS badass as hell!!! and their tickets are always cheaper than most bands. Disturbed always delivers.

  • very true

  • I highly doubt he had strep throat, more likely this is just a hard song to sing. I think he could do this song perfectly if he knocked it down an octave, or maybe tried to sing it cleaner w/ less growl in his voice especially if his voice was fatigued

  • Yea man I'm a loyal Disturbed Fan But even some good guys have bad concerts ya know But still awesome show man

  • I didn't know he had Strep Throat, but one thing i'll tell you about The Night, it's a hard ass song, i can't play it right, cause it breaks out my voice with it's freakin hard high notes, so i could also be song on top of strep throat and fatigue, it happens.

  • yea very true

  • Saw 'em in Chicago. I tell ya, I'm almost pushing 30 and a back injury. The younger Chicagoans kicked my ass that concert, I had a fuckin' great time.

  • Goddamn it! I saw them last night in Green Bay and they didn't play this song! And it was the last day of the tour, too. WTF!

  • Hey I was at Glens Falls too! Did you go behind the building after the show and meet the guys? All four of them came out to sign stuff and take pictures like they always do. There were only a handful of us back there.

  • he sounded perfect when he sang stupify . . . FUCK

  • His voice is off, I still love him but hope he is better this Sunday when I see David this week. He fucking rocks!

Probably love, nuture, and voice training will help him... he is the best... Disturbed is the best!

  • Yeah he had strep-throat during this week. Listen to the 3-part interview he gave in Portland, ME. He mentioned it there and apologized sincerely for not being at his best at these shows.

  • I went to this concert in Cleveland Ohio, was my first ever concert, I was hyped on so much adrenaline i could barely take it, hen disturbed finally came on i was jumping and screaming and moshing like none other!

  • nah... it was awesome live- bad recording- but they were not as good as Killswitch Engage,

  • LOL Killswitch engage i dont even wanna go their man Disturebd fucken own ends of comments

  • The entire concert was mind-blowing except for Laguna Coil, Chimaira had a giant mosh pit and a wall of death, was great.

  • Nice man long live DISTURBED :D

  • I saw him last night and he was perfect, yeah it was just a bad night

  • David's voice sounds weak. I'm... very surprised by this as I'm supposed to go to the show tomorrow in Detroit. Perhaps it was a bad night? I doubt it listening to this, but I'll find out eh?

  • when they came to Maine he was on the radio and said he had strep-throat (spelling??)

  • David had strep throat during this week, that's why he sounded so off.

  • David should rest his voice and make a come-back in Music as a Weapon 5

  • give the dude a break...he blew out his voice like 4 years ago and needed surgery

if he blows it out again ...

its likely he'll disband disturbed or they'll get a new vocalist

  • He sounds like shit.

  • Its cause he had strep Throat that week

  • dude if your were there it sounded amazing, and even if it was a little off it was so crazy it didnt matter

  • dude I have seen disturbed live and I think I can tell when david is worn out and he is worn out in these videos. The guy just wants to give everyone a show. but He can not sacrafice his voice, like he is doing in this video.

    Still a very good video

  • dan donegan is an awesome guitarist dude...i mean there r better but hes pretty good

  • if they make a music vid for this it'll be in the like month to 2 month long break they take after the chicago tour

  • they already got a music vid to it man

  • they have a music video for the night. look it up :)

  • they already did make a video for "the night." check it out...it's so good.

  • they didn't play this in Atlanta. It pissed me off so much.

  • His voice was off, I remember I was kinda tripping on it at the show but this was my favorite song! He's the best nonetheless, I know he can sing fucking awesome live, I seen them before!

  • Comment removed

  • what songs did disturbed disturbed and kse play?

  • nothin really wrong with his voice, just that it's live and not cut and edited like a studio album

plus i was there for this show, the recording is good but the mike makes it sound screechy when it really wasn't

  • I do agree, when I heard this song on the show I went to, it definitely did sound a lot different. But, even watching the youtube videos of that performance, he sounded much better than he does now. This constant touring they've been doing all year long so far is kind of a bad move. In my opinion, anyway. I loved Disturbed, and I was hoping to go to one of the MAAWIV showings, but I wont be able to, which does sadden me. But, it seems the exhaustion is getting to him.

  • i couldnt agree more especially with metal bands your vocals can get very tired out extremely easily. they should've stopped a month ago. next album they should try to lay a little loose on the high notes and the low notes, which he is more suited to. i just hope he doesnt fuck up his voice too much before the next Aussie tour =)

  • couldnt agree more man david is so good but i dont want him to sound like shit wen i c them next hope the next album is great n hope they cum to aus real soon

  • His voice sounded better live

  • this song was awsome

and u know this will be there next single

    also music video

    i think

  • I am hoping they do a music video for this song -- It's my favorite on the album.

  • thanx for posting!!! i get to see them 4 the first time next tuesday in pensacola,fl. looks like they put on an awsome show!!

  • I saw them with Skindred and Sevendust back in late January, and they are simply amazing. The quality of these videos demeans what it sounds like when you're actually there. However, some of these videos (like this one) pick up some really weird voice waves.

  • I wonder what the hell is wrong with his singing...

  • u dillhole there aint nothing wrong with his singing get ur ears stright punk

  • I love Disturbed as much as every other major Disturbed fan, but I don't suck David's dick like you do. He is a GREAT vocalist, but he obviously had a hard time with this song. His constant touring and exhaustion is more than enough to make him sound worse, so I give him a lot of kudos for still trying and pushing himself. But, there were a few parts in this video where his voice screeched.

  • Completely agree with you dude. I was there for the PHX show, and thought in addition to the rare screech, he was consistently a little off vocally. Of course, now I sound like an american idol critic...

Overall, the show was awesome and made up for it.

  • @DJamesP

    Ditto.

jonny get off the man's dick, please?

  • who gives a shit get ur daddy to BJ u

  • At least I get and not give. Fag.

  • it's gotta be tough singing so high like that all the time, and especially this song, so i would think it would be rougher

  • I agree whole heartedly. I honestly consider David to be an amazing vocalist, and one of the best at that. Disturbed has been my favorite band for almost 10 years.

  • yeah dude i totally agree. that song would be very difficult to sing live for sure.

  • He Had Strep Throat

  • i'm going april 4th!!!!

  • i cant wait!!! im going in like a week on april 10th!!!

  • did anybody see this video..its kinda disapointing....just goto myspace and search for it

  • DAMN IT! I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE!!! (crys)
