This song was released in 1957. I remember picking up a 45 rpm EP then. For many years after that I used to do the limbo dance, and mine used to be a show even on social dances. My record limbo was 20-22 inches then great everlasting song of the golden days. Long live Chubby Checker.
@dileepnaik If this song is from 1957, then it was recorded by someone else. Chubby Checker's version first hit the Billboard Hot 100 Labor Day week of 1962.
This dude doesnt age............that could be a a wig but his face is flawless and its not surgery. Besides he moves a lot. Him a little Richard are frozen in time.
That is a great sweet man. What a nice personality. He sounds good and looks good and is from my home town. He just did a free concert downtown about a week ago in Philly. Women for days.
I had the pleasure of seeing Chubby Checker perform live at the Finger Lakes Race Track in Farmington, NY on July 15th! He even signed my album cover afterwards! His face and voice never changes!
thanks for posting this i have been looking for this song wow thios show bring back some memories we had so much fun off this song coming up trying to see how low everyone can go under the stick lol it was cool.
I wish he and Bobby Rydell would do a tour together. I would pay double to see them together. They did appear on the same weekend (different days) venue at Rockstalgia at Hunter Mountain, NY in 1993.
