Apple makes a hell of an operating system but windows is more compatible with more software and it is cheaper when comparing the hardware with the macs. I would love to buy the components necessary so I can make an hackintosh computer instead of getting screwed by paying a fortune for a mac!

Also, install Chameleon RC2 and it should fix most of the issues you might have with hardware.
