my dog that passed away for some time ago.... when i listen to this melody and her voice, and i start thinking of the time i had with my dog, over 11 years, im 16 now, he was there since i was 5 years old, and he died next to me, he fell asleep in my arms, and then he died :'( i love you Chanti <3 will never forget you, you were the best friend i have ever had! i grew up with you, and now you are gone... i can't belive you are gone, i miss you <3 see you soon <3
Believe it or not, this song is not what makes me cry during Gandalf's fall. This song is so beautiful though. However, the part that REALLY REALLY gets to me and instantly makes me burst into tears, is the sound of Frodo's voice as he screams "NOOO!" It literally feels like someone has put a knife to my heart hearing his voice. It has so much emotion behind it...And the way Aragorn lingers behind in disbelief... :' < and watching the Hobbits cry. -sniffle-
This song gets me every time. I never really watched the LOTR series in order; I just kind of saw little snippets of each movie when when my older bro and Dad watched it. I was too young to get into it, but I assure you: If the movies had come out now instead of back then, I would definitely be old enough to be super into them and I would bawl my freaking eyes out when this song plays after G's death. LOTRFTW.
Even though I knew he wasn't dead when I watch this over and over I cry almost every time! I still felt so sad for the characters as each began to mourne over what had just happened...
is it just me or do you also hear that the beginning sounds bit like "surface of the sun" by john murphy. I put this soundtrack over the other and with som options it matched very well.
i used to watch the trilogy with my grandma, who unfortunately passed away on february 20th 2009 at an early age of 68. Whenever i listen to this i instantly burst into tears. all i can think of is her and watching these movies with her. i grew up watching the movies. and this music.this music can make anyones emotions be shown, unlike the stupid music played today like bieber, gaga, etc. it makes you realize how imature people are today when you compare the two types of music RIP Gma. I Love U
@nflpanthersO7 As a film student, LOTR is a blockbuster and I tend to get shunned for listing it as one of my favourites. But its truly amazing, it's life. A journey, and there's losses on the way. Regardless of anything it boils down to this. The fact that this trilogy has managed to inspire emotion to such a wide audience is truly amazing. I always tear up when I listen to "the breaking of the fellowship" soundtrack, nothing has ever, EVER made me cry in adulthood apart from that soundtrack.
"I bought a donut from the store and I couldn't wait to eat it when I got home. When I was taking the groceries out in my driveway, the donut fell out into the mud. I was listening to the Gandalf's Death part from the LotR soundtrack on my Ipod at the same time this happened. It was the saddest event in my life. I will never forget you my precious chocolate donut. You will be in my heart 4ever"

@BigDaiRhys i looked the song up and i couldnt find this epic part on it, all i heard on it was like the fiery demon chasing scene music, not fall music D:

hey, i love this soundtrack. thanks for uploading it. i just uploaded an extended version of it which i made from the original soundtrack, i love it if you, and well anyone else, could take a look and see what you think. i would really appreciate the constructive criticism for future works. thanks.
I swear, everytime i hear this song i want to cry or something. Well done, Peter Jackson, Well done. Fits in great with the situation. Please Remake Eragon!
@StephenColbert27 AND MAKE A SEQUEL. Eragon is the most unfinished series and has the biggest cliff hanger in cinema history. its been FIVE YEARS since Eragon was released and no word for a sequel. you think 1 or 2 years is long enough?
@tko930 What i always wondered is how the people who made the original eragon would go about making eldest since they took out so many important characters and places
What genre of music is this? I know it's a stupid question but what i mean is like... is it orchestral/choir? It's hard to find music with the same feeling to it :S I'm not sure if i'm making any sense but if anyone could help me out that'd be great :)
@Tehevilpie you make perfect sense. This music is really rare and old. I used to sing it as a child and have written many of my own pieces. I call it Choral music--it was often sang in the Renaissance time period. I have lived during that time period.
This scene is the only scene in any of the movies where Aragorn loses his composure. Look at his face after gandalf falls, you never see that look again, no matter how dire things get.
@FlashGuyMX LoL! I abloutly ROFL when the uploder is being so rude that everyone flags his comment. BTW if you hate Enya, you're not too great of a Lord of the Rings fan.

This made me cry everytime you know what Tolkien thought of that part the love and respect of each other in every day life Gimli wanted to go back and kill them all some feel that when somebody dies others feel confused as legolas was some think a head and dont stay in the past and Boromir thought of the others and others like Pippin Merry and Sam and Frodo feel sad
I bought a donut from the store and I couldn't wait to eat it when I got home. When I was taking the groceries out in my driveway, the donut fell out into the mud.

I was listening to the Gandalf's Death part from the LotR soundtrack on my Ipod at the same time this happened. It was the saddest event in my life. I will never forget you my precious chocolate donut. You will be in my heart 4ever
