  • @rous854 its free if you get enough documented tonsillitis or strep or infections your insurance company pays it for free and lucky for me my mom gets free healthcare

  • Tonsil stone equals some nasty junk people!

  • i had mine removed

  • Meatballs anyone? Lol I had this done the 27th of December 2010. I am in really bad pain.

  • what is the cost of extraction of adenoids.

  • I just had my tonsils and adenoids out this afternoon. The doc used this procedure. I feel awesome right now (but I know I won't by day 10). He encouraged eating solid food right after the surgery, since it helps the healing process. He does many tonsillectomies a week and has 20-something years of experience of what works and what doesn't. I'm an adult so I'll have to wait and see how I heal up.

  • I just had my tonsils out this morning. I gotta say that everything went well. To me coblation is best way to get your tonsils out. Good luck to those who are getting a tonsillectomy in the future.

  • My ENT doc said coblation is a scam when I asked him about it. What the hell is that about?

  • @solpapisolmook: If your ENT thinks coblation is a scam, then I would encourage you to find a different ENT. Coblation works--and works well. In fact, my five year-old son just had a T and A last week, and is doing amazingly well.

  • @sirhcdeer Appreciate the input. He basically told me that because instead of a thin slice, you're getting a searing burn on more area of the gums, so it's not much more of a help.

Let me ask you; judging by your 5 year old's experience, if he had been a grown man, do you think he would have been able to work the week of coblation surgery for the T and A?

  • Very informative. Thanks. The saline appears to pool in the back. We are wondering why.
