actually its a ford gt engine (450hp) its not called the 500 cus it has 500 hp cus it doesnt and it handles great if you drive it properly no tires can handle 450hp and tons of torque and grip while going sideways, the old mustang boys wanted a live rear axle for drag racing and no m3 or caymen has this much grunt or space or interier in comparisons theyre like nova, light not as powerful not much interior but andle better

Actually, the Ford GT made 550 horsepower and 500 pound feet of torque. It used an aluminum block instead of the GT500s cast iron block. They're both supercharged as well. Ford claims adding IRS would've raised the price by 5000 dollars. And yes, a live rear axle is better for drag racing. Like the guy said before it has 500 horsepower at the crank, not the wheels.
