@jamilph You mean "Czech it out?" In order to repudiate any pretense of inventing this pun, I will refer Kubišová fans to a page called "Funky Czech-in" at blog[dot]loukash[dot]com/2006/09/join-us-and-well-travel-world[dot]html .
This was done at A&M. It was billed as 'The Ronettes - featuring the voice of Veronica.' She was the ONLY real Ronette on the track - the rest were back-up singers (the usual 'Spectorites', Darlene, et al.).
@uszoninyc The arrangers & conductors don't get enough credit. The singer's got nothin but a melody. It's the arranger, Perry Botkin Jr here, who fills out the song sets up the rhythm lines, the vocal choruses, those sweet instrumental bridges between the choruses . . . & then we ignore these great men who are ALSO artists in their own right! Thumb this up to show some love for the man who put together all the pieces on this great song! chuck
@chkjns ABSOUTELY - if not for the people BEHIND, there'd be NO anything. I think what's also important to note, is that, until Spector, NO one - at ALL - got ANNY credit, whatsoever.
But, Perry Botkin, Jack Nietzsche... ALL of them gave Spector's - and others visions - REALITY
what "sur la corde raide" is suppose to mean? great song, thank you
