We are entitled to our own opinions. I for one, am not embarassed or unproud of my country for the last 8 years. I think you are kidding yourself if you think our enemies will ever have respect for us and I don't think we should appease them in order to gain that pretense. I do however have faith in the American people to overcome any obstacles that may stand in our way.

I know we can do better than this and I'm very optimistic that we will. We can once again be respected by our allies and even our enemies. It can happen.

We must give the benefit of the doubt respect after the election. The new President will either be the best President since Clinton and have the largest seats since Carter in 1976 or it will be 4 more years of George W Bush and the sinking into the economical abyss God Forbid and all the same Troops transfered from Iraq to Afganistan and never coming home from War. So these are two Pros and Cons scenario's here.

Don't know how old you are but America's record from the last fifty years isn't something to be proud of.Think of "replacing" elected politicians who didn't comply,supporting dictators/terrorists and breaking international law to name a few.
