  • Everyone who is and is not Canadian! Sign up here to save our internet! We Canadians are begging you!

go to save our net in google and click on the first site!

    then go to act

  • Im fucking moving.

  • how do we fix this? am i going to have to kick some ass!

  • help us!!!

  • new CRTC bandwidth cap comming in march, 25GB/month + $1/GB extra. FUCKiNg bullshit. Effective to all providers in Canada. Those who do not understand internet shouldn't be controlling it.

  • @TenpaJyosai canadians pay by the GB? that's stupid. why is there a bandwidth cap?

  • canada sucks!!! xD ==D - - - Dx

  • the crtc is destroying canada

  • What will end up happening is that the regulator will say that some companies are more equal then others!!!!

  • Give me one example of that fictional problem happening!!!!!

  • I Watch all my Episodes at Tinyurl[.]com/mmjtu8

  • Thanks for this - good journalistic video - I've posted your video to my "digital" playlist.

  • So many people are miss-informed on this issue... It doesn't work like this... The majority of 'shaping' is done on a per application level. If the internet was truly neutral (no interference whatsoever), then real-time high-bandwidth services such as video/audio streaming or gaming would be virtually impossible during peak hours. You have to understand that the growth of customer demand can't possibly be matched by ISPs... they don't have the resources. Shaping allows the internet to survive.

  • what a great video, great work everybody!

I learned a lot, thanks for the info

  • lol canada

  • Nice try. Keep it up check out esteembpo + com for social media marketing. #ZIP#

  • Nice work. keep it up. mean time come for social media marketing for esteembpo**com #LINK#

  • internet was created by engineers to make ur lives a bit easier~~~ dont think it's some kind of "natural resources" ~

they can decide for the internet fee just like car prices~

  • HELLO! Canada is loosing more freedoms first the no gun laws. Now your internet your fucked!! and it look like we here in United States are headed in the same direction my brothers.NWO is a solid fact!

  • I hope the Canadian govt. doesnt do anything stupid and disturb the freeflow on the Net. Its so bloody obvious that net neutrality is a key concept for social development and a great tool to promote equality.

I hope my Indian govt doesnt ever think like that!!

  • Canada won't have a choice. Everything today is global. Canada does not make its own decisions. We have been usurped by The New World Order Fascist Regime. Our health care and education are crumbling, we are being lied to or just not told anything by media, our sovereignty is almost completely gone. Discrimination is happening all over Canada. I am sure that whatever the NWO wants it gets, no matter how many Canadians suffer.

  • @medicaleducation Depends if it'll give them more power.

If it will, down it goes. The politicians of Canada are only interested in power for themselves, and they would damn those they should represent to hell if it served such a purpose.

  • i support net neutrality

  • wait, so what happens when I play games?

Imagine I am hosting a game, will my upload be of lower priority? so my hosting abilities will suck then?

  • As a last resort there would be hackers able to get beyond this... there is a difference between Computers and TV and I would be first inline for the computer code to break restrictions that's for sure

But yes, we need to stop this.

  • im glad someone stepped up to this situation!

  • Most of Canada's population is comprised of immigrants. I am not at all surprised an american mocks this country because we all know your a bunch of racist ignorant pigs. oink oink money money.

I don't see how this makes Canada bad?

your just angry your country is all fucked up

try and make your self feel better because all you care about is nationalism.

Fact is i know i will protest this and hopefully it does not succeeded, who says this is final?

I love Americans but some of you... no.

  • I thought canada was sooooooooo great!? Next time you socialist clowns comment on a AMERICAN video I will throw this shit in your face! CLOWNS! America=Freedom

  • That's an incredibly retarded thing to say.

  • Uh.... you might want to check out the Net Neutrality issue in your own country. TWC and Comcast are two of the biggest offenders.

  • In response to Liberalshateamerica,

America => Placing life as a commodity (your health care allows only the rich to have proper health)

America => Shit public education for the general population (your universities kick ass, but in Canada university is free through our tax refunds)

America => Lower quality of life than Canada (look at the polls)

America => 10x the population\economy as Canada, but far worse than canada for the M. Class

America => 30% tend to reject modern science

  • Add one more thing... Americans pretending to be Canadians when traveling to other countries!!!

America=> Bully and Aggressor of the world

    Canada=> Peacemakers of the world

  • aggressor of the world? I admit that we can be pretty much commanding but to say that we are aggressors would be like saying if we didn't help out the allied nations , maybe I don't know, that they would have lost? up until the past 100 years or so we haven't bothered the rest of the world and then the Europeans start the WW1. I don't care that you will argue that the Germans started it but WE, the USA, finished. so canada is great peacemaker but the only peace they had ever is with them

  • Iraq, Iran, even us when Bush put a lot of pressure on the Canadian govt to help in the fight of Iraq (which we said no.) The US govt and companies also tried getting at our resources (our fresh water especially). Then there's stuff like the panama canal but thats a whole can of worms. And Germany did not start WW1 at all. And I dont understand your last comment.

  • ... germany did start ww1...

  • No, only blamed for it. WW1 started with the assassination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand. Austria-Hungary first declared war on Serbia, with AH's allied powers (UK, France, etc.) declaring war on Serbia as well. Serbia's allies (Germany, Italy, etc.) then declared war back.

  • My American wife and her family are gladly moving to Canada, since their government won't repay them for their taxes and support her autistic sister. It's impossible to live with one without aid, but your government just threatened to lock her in a room and drug her for 12 hours a day if they couldn't afford her. Your private-corporation based economy is hardly gov. regulated (to attract corps.), that's why they suffer from the housing crisis, thats why they can't afford good health. Barbaric.

  • math king- Good! Get the fuk out!

  • With the utmost pleasure,Liberal. Better for my family, better for my wife, better for my education, better for my career and better for my pride (until I get my phd, then I can really make money there, if I wanted to). However, like I said before, I do hope the US improves for the middle class. Currently, it's a great place to be if you are rich and very well educated (either because you immigrated from elsewhere or were rich enough to endure your education system). Good luck.

  • "My American wife and her family are gladly moving to Canada, since their government won't repay them for their taxes and support her autistic sister."

So basically your wife and her familly moved to Canada to scrounge off the canadian tax payer...nice.

"(I have an autistic brother too, and he gets 70,000$ / year in help "

Wow, you are milking Canada dry. Two autistic siblings? Good thing psychologists coined that term for you.

  • If the government doesn't help with an autistic sibling, then it's impossible to look after one if you're not rich. We will repay canada by being scientists that build it's infrastructure (she: chem engineer\med student me: phd student). Imagine waking up at 3am nearly every morning and watching your brother destroy his wrists by biting them or putting holes in the wall with his head, all because "VHS is old". The damage has caused infection and deformation. Only drugs and lots of help can work

  • I mean ellhow, this is the responsibility of the government to allow it's citizens to succeed. If the Canadian government didn't help me (father turned schizophrenic and I now look after both), I'd have to abandon university and my life goals. Plus it's cheaper to use $70,000 for him, then pay the staff for a home to look after. The states just abandons these people and gives very shitty, unreliable help (they do get 900$/mo). You need expert help,or they'll ruin themselves with self mutilation

  • well explain that to my dad that worked in canada all his life and is getting a wopping 700$ /month being retired

  • My wife immigrated to Canada for the freedom to go to Med school and to function with a disabled sibling (I have an autistic brother too, and he gets 70,000$ / year in help and every penny is needed for us to function at all in society. She came for the freedom to go to the doctor at ANYTIME she is ill or has health concerns (although if we want fast\expensive service, we use states doctors). Despite barbarism, I support US as it's large population\economy keeps western culture competitive.

  • British and French explorers originally settled in Canada sometime before 1975. Years of isolation led to Canadians declaring independence in 1984; the Queen never objected, since she forgot Canada's existence. Canada has since become the leading exporter of maple syrup and snow shovels. Over the years, Canadians have inbred and worn snow caps, flannel hats with ear flaps as a mark of their blatant incest.

  • hahaha good post

  • Good luck!!! I signed and joined your group!!!

  • Some one has to pay too build and maintain the different Nodes of the internet

  • This shit will end political careers if it passes. I hope these idiots in Ottawa are aware just how pissed off people will get.

  • Why is this video with only 19,000 views above the rest of the videos with 100,000 plus views. Fuck youtube. They are just as bad as any major media outlet.

  • I don't think you can blame YouTube for that, it's just a matter of what people choose to watch. But I do support net neutrality. It's what makes the net the net.

  • We must Stop this!, paying just to use GOOGLE!!, WTF!!, THINK OF THE CHILDREN! The CHILDREN WILL DIE!!, STOP THEM BEFORE THEY Make us pay for happiness, sex , a one night stand , looking at the hot chick with 3 boob's oh and THE CHILDREN!!! :( see sad face .

  • I hear Canada was ranked a better country to live in than the United States...

  • We always are... In fact we used to rank number 1 almost every year but we are falling down. Now we are closer to number 5. This is based on the UN, they use factors like political freedom, freedom to travel, civil rights, life expectancy, ect. It is in no way a perfect system and I would never claim my country is better than others but it does give you a general idea on certain factors that people could use to consider a nation a great place to live.

  • Dear Canada, Nice Health care system, Love MikePavy

  • Why do our Countries hate each other?

  • because internet sucks.

  • if this is so important why is this the first time i heard about it? hmmm

  • There are many things the government tries to sneak past the public.

  • Keep Internet open and free.

  • sure, but is it still nonsense when you can't access the Internet to see what's going on in the world...to find out about other important issues...without net neutrality, you will have less access to the open Internet and we all rely heavily upon the net right????

  • "There are a lot more issues to worry about than this nonsense."

posted by someone who is actively using the internet. your a moron.

  • why the hell is he sitting on a table?

  • Fuck you.

  • With health care and gun control. I guess our priorities are different.

  • totally

  • I agree with you, Canadians are like Americans richer, smarter, better looking and smarter cousins.

It's like Canada is Brad Pitt and America is Don Knots.

  • Fuck you.

  • failblog is back guys :) his new account is ifailblog! he got suspened or somehting...

  • fuck the conservative and steven harper. bourgeoisie cocksuckers.

  • you must've recently read the communist manifesto...good for you!

  • read it about 4 years ago.

    didn't think much of it.

  • Im using Shaw, is that apart of it too?

  • every one is part ofit

  • MadnessRealm--its for all of Canada tin foil hat

  • I actually didn' t hear much about it in Quebec. Bell and Videotron don't seem to think about those stuff right now. (Verizon, AT&T etc are a minority over here).

  • Guess I could always call ISP and see what they say.

  • the people on here who keep saying fk neutrality, who gives a shit, obviously don't understand the situation! this is important here in canada!

  • My channel sucks :(

  • fk nuetrality

  • the day i move out of canada, im getting fiber

  • people don't understand:

This Is The New World Order coming!!

you are only fighting small parts of it without nowing where those decisions come from.

  • This is the government using loopholes and avoiding it being called censorship

  • Could you imagine, while browsing the internet, if you had to periodically watch, without any control from you at all, commercials for big corporations? No thank you. That isn't something I would want ot be a part of. That is the problem with corporations owning the internet. Net neutrality needs to remain as it is. Otherwise we will become an even less interconnected society than we are now, and I can't see how that could possibly be a good thing.

  • Harper=Bush

  • yea thats why u fuckers need to vote NDP dumbshits

  • ya, but lets spread the word and save the net first

  • NDP is wanna be conservative

  • Whoah. Wait a second there. You're comparing the most welfare-state leftiest of the left party to the supposedly fiscally conservative right party?

How can you even begin to compare the two's policies?

  • Dude, Where's the Party

  • Coming soon to the USA

  • I thought everything was perfect in canada... how could this happen??

  • internet is our modern utopia! it must not go down

  • Maybe we should nationalise the internet.

  • very important issue to consider

  • This is a definitely valid issue, but is this seriously the best way you could present it?

This is an unscripted rant from an unshaven, ear-ring-wearing hippie. How do you expect your argument to gain any traction with our nation's politicians? Most of them would scoff at the unstructured, informal, and frankly sloppy presentation displayed here.

If this is the best the net neutrality movement can offer, we've already lost.

  • I believe they're trying to use the power of the internet and its common user to drive the promotion of this issue towards the government. Putting together a formal, well structured presentation wouldn't be as accessible to the mass amounts of people that might otherwise casually watch it online. People don't want to watch something that reminds us of school, the average web user wants to see things and people that they can relate to.

  • yes, good point. Some people don't understand who these things work

  • The government listens to voters irregardless of appearance. They aren't hired to dictate how someone must appear. Nor are you the dictator of what and what is not acceptable. Beat that ugly fascist streak out of yourself, you might be taken more seriously......Keep sending the crtc letters folks, numers are ALL that matters!

  • I definitely in support of a free internet. And this is an American speaking.

  • nice work

  • lmao i bet all the videos promoting net neutralitiy on youtube will be impossible to stream soon

  • I just donated. Make good use of my money and fight these fascist conservative bastards !

  • I donated too, everyone should spread the word and support this!

  • Make sure you go to the provided link and send a form copy to the CRTC voicing your opinion.

  • I'm sending this out on facebook, and to every email address I have.

  • 1:50 tweetdeck lolz

  • Government rationing of bandwidth instead of free competition? Greeeeat idea Canada!

I'll never understand why people trust government so damn much but at the same time be so terrified of companies, and THEN spin crazy conspiracy theories about how "the companies own America."

Government has guns, soldiers, atomic weapons, F-16's and tanks and YOU ARE AFRAID OF TIME WARNER?!?!

Net Neutrality if a fraud. Don't fall for it.

  • I hope that we keep net neutrality.

  • lets spread the word before it's too late!

  • Canadians need to see this. How can the average Canadian want this? People need to be informed so that they know they don't want this.

  • i cant stand this bullshit. why dont u keep the gov out of the internet. why get the gov involved when there is no problem?

  • the ISPs are shapping the Internet. there is a problem

  • This is madness.....

    madness? no. THIS! IS! CANADA!

  • I can't understand why our government in Canada would ever think moving away from net neutrality would be a good idea. Good job Stephen Harper. Way to go...too bad Obama couldn't have stayed in here for longer the other day....or....forever.

  • It's called _control_, and no right-wing, authoritarian asshole politician wants to be without it.

  • I know, I can't stand Stephen Harper.

  • Unless you think Canada has the ability to absorb several trillion dollars of porkulus bill money, you should be counting your lucky stars that Obama isn't your leader.

  • show me the pork my friend. then we'll talk. I'm pretty sure the US is already 10.8 trillion dollars in debt. So the 787 billion to try and fix some problems that caused that most likely isn't the worst option.

  • Good luck Canadians on your battle to keep net neutrality. We Americans have fought long and hard to try and keep ours, I hope you can do the same.

  • if everyone who watched this would leave a comment if will grow faster ,the govt has lost their minds !!

  • As a Canadian I have to say it is awesome that this story is being supported. Big thanks to Digg and anyone that helps out with this problem.

  • the entire history of canada's media has been on the premise of nationalism first, did anyone really expect something different to come from the slave masters?

  • I never expected anything else, but then again, I'm a cynical bastard.

  • I hope that never happens in Canada, good luck with it. It has been dugg, rated 5 stars and I have tweeted. Hope it helped spread the message a little.

    An Irish helping hand.

  • Yes, Canadian companies, feel free to move to the US, especially near the boarder. We love hockey and we need jobs.

  • NDP!!!

  • Everyone share their wifi. Once the peer network becomes large enough they will listen as the traffic wont be sent to your isp.

  • You might wanna take a walk down the street, I hear they're selling clues on the same corner your mom works on, and you clearly need to buy one.

  • holy shit man you are a psychopath.

    simmer down now.

just because you yourself lack wit does not mean you have to hate on those that do.

  • Canada Rocks, you can just get out. It's not the country it's the people in charge. If you don't like it do something about it, don't just say my country sucks.

  • NET NEUTRALITY!!!

  • The internet is not television. It is for the free flow of information that I request.

Since my money has built the infrastructure we now have, I refuse to let my service provider tell me what I can access based on whether they are PAID to let me see it.

Destroying my freedom of choice on my internet access will force consumers to use services outside of Canada that do not examine, restrict and block my access to information.

    The very idea is un-Canadian.

  • Save our net!

Isn't there a ISP tht offers net neutrality?

  • Front page with 300~ views? Impressive.

  • Just goes to show people on digg comment without reading articles or viewing the videos

  • You have been Dugg.

  • welcome to the front page of digg

  • NICE. Guru
