i dont mean to sound insensitive but i think humans have painted a far too cuddly picture of animals these days. its a lion, a full grown wild LION +paying $11,000 a month for expenses is ridiculous! as you can see he died afterwards anyway and he wasnt saying farewells to family + friends he was just lying there. and saying things like "i hope he goes to animal heaven" is idiotic really, hes an animal, all they do is nurture their basic desires all day, they do not have actions to be judged

Even though I know they tried to get him better out of kindness and to better understand how to save other animals in the future, I can't help but feel a bit sorry for Ariel. Being unable to walk for over a year and hooked up to machines was not a decent life for him. I don't mean to sound horrible, but I honestly think maybe it would have been more humane if he had been euthanised. Nevertheless, RIP Ariel x
