Mine cost $150. It runs off Sprint towers...not Verizon/AT&T. Most of the cheaper straight talk flip phones do use Verizon, though. But not their smart phones.

Sprint coverage for this phone.... most straighttalk phones are verizon... but the droids are using sprint towers

Make sure you live in a major city if you get this phone because if you dont your network coverage will not be good. It uses CDMA network, not Verizon but the Sprint PCS if I am not mistaken. It does not use the ATT network.

This phone does run on Sprint towers-- this is not bad -they are better than AT&T as tested by Consumer Reports. See my comment on here.

Sprint is rated very good in many major metro areas ...much better than AT&T. This has been confirmed in Consumer Reports recent testing. So anyone saying that Sprint is bad just probably lives in a rural area or one of the few bad areas. Do not let the Sprint detractors on here influence you in trying this phone out.

I don't think this phone is in the "high-end" range. And this phone is not running on the ATT or Verizon Network, which means coverage will be poor because it only runs on Sprint native coverage, WILL NOT ROAM!

Umm this runs off the sprint network and I even asked Straight talk and they said it does. plus the map says tht too... Is the service good cuz its the same network that virgin mobile and boost mobile run on and its not a very good network. I'm a person that travels somewhat and i looked at the virgin mobile coverage map and it doesnt have service in some of the places i travel and i was just wondering how this phone is while you travel because i need something reliable.

k number 1 that phone didnt even have the tracphone symbol. number 2 the phone is only $150. 3 it doesnt go thru verizon/alltel it goes thru sprint. and 4 this was an all around crappy review.

I am with Straight Talk and wanted to know what were the limitations of using prepaid plans to work on the Android? What were the restrictions i.e. GSM/CDMA with regards to this cell. Is this smartphone hearing aid compatible?
