  • Science fair win

  • You can find liquid nitrogen at any good Mexican corner shop..

  • i tried one of these at walden galleria in buffalo ny. tasted good

  • I had some liquid nitrogen ice cream. It was pretty good.

  • Yummyy! I ate liquid nitrogen ice-cream yesterday! I really want some more! :D

  • It's so weird to come back and watch this old stuff and think it's all outdated and has been replaced, but Wolfram? WolframAlpha is an amazing site. I had no idea these guys had been around for so long.

  • the periodic table table looks like a laptop keyboard!

  • mean

  • Thats probably horrible for you

  • @dillpickleboocutie Actually my Astronomy teacher in high school as a year-end project for his class brought in all the fixings for Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, and he explained that since Liquid Nitrogen BOILS at -196 degrees celsius, that by the time you serve it all of the Nitrogen is completely evaporated aside from inconsequential bubbles that can't do any harm whatsoever.

And speaking from experience, it was damn delicious.

  • that cool u made five minute ice cream

  • very entertaining ! (Y)

  • Wtf?

I saw this in science, and I swear that was my science teacher in the glasses and blue top

He wear glasses the has a beard and he was wearing the same-ish top

    i mean wth??

  • where can u buy liquid nitrogen and how much in estimate would it cost

  • o that kind of ice cream is so good

  • omg they made this at my school at an assembly once and it taste sooo good

  • isnt liquid nitrogen bad for ur body

  • I'd rather get salmonella than never experience the ecstasy that is real cookie dough.

  • THE ICE CREAM WILL TURN OUT BETTER THAN THE STORE ONES!

    Its good!

  • @drunkenlilTIFFY1990 well then the ones you get in the store suck,, cause the ones we get in the store kicks this one in tha arse

  • @Darugon92

LOL NO, the ones I get in the stores are GOOD but the ones you make are the BEST!!!!

  • @drunkenlilTIFFY1990 must have some bad Ice Cream in USA then, but seriusly if you buy some Ice Cream here, then you will notice the difference

  • @Darugon92 let me try some then...

  • @Darugon92 maybe you didn't make this one right because you're just plain crazy if you think the store ones are better quality....

what they say most things homemade are better quality.

  • we did this to preschoolers for Chemistry Club and I wanted to touch the liquid nitrogen but the professor warned me not to.

  • liquid nitrogen really takes away the calories?

  • @ooooters I don't remember if it does but i think my professor said that it does.

  • "How to Make Ice Cream With Liquid Nitrogen" the long version, is a much better vid than this one. The guy that is pouring the Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) talks about why you need to cook the eggs. Carl

  • Hahahahhahhaha!!! Listen closely bteewn 4:55-5:00!! "Ok were nice and STIFF here"...."i know i am" ahahahahaha nobody heard him!

  • lol

  • @JescobarWR80 LMAO

  • no one should eat raw eggs, the danger of salmonella and or campylobacter

gut infections are severe, look it up folks

and freezing does not kill the bacteria

    microbiologist store them frozen.

so why are these people doing it? simple,

because they didn't look it up.

  • salmonella comes allong for every one in 10,000 eggs. I have been baking in a industrial kitchen testing batches before they are baked for years.....Im fine. I bet you have gotten salmonella and you thought it was just another cold. Man up pussy

  • cdc say the odds of getting samonella is one in fifty each year you eat eggs, that is assuming you cook them though. So by all means continue to eat your raw eggs

    your fine.

  • so by your statistics I will get salmonella once every fivety years? lol Thats fine with me :P

  • Dang!

Now my kitchen will never look complete...

  • I don't have a dewer of my own, because they cost $600 to $900 each. What can I do if I want to make the LN2 ice cream? Can I buy the LN2 but rent the dewer? Or put down a deposit on one that I get back when I return the dewer?

And exactly WHERE do I get the stuff?

  • where can i buy some liquid nitrogen, i want to freeze my dogs tail, hahah just kiding

  • This is the macho way to make ice cream. Maybe that's why so many chefs love their pacojet.

  • The guy making the ice cream is a dumbass, the temperature of liquid nitrogen is not -170 degrees celcius, it's -196 degrees celcius. And to clear things up, the liquid nitrogen is not edible, all that happens is that it cools the cream down extremely fast while boiling into a gas. There is no liquid nitrogen in the ice cream.

  • we made some of this - it's the best ice cream

  • My chem teacher made some liquid nitrogen; it was good

  • where can i get liquid nitrogen?

  • normal supermarket should have it

  • lol, you got a thumbs down for that? ...i thought it was funny

  • lol i have checked vons, ralphs, stater bros, and albertsons and still cant find any....

  • a welding place

  • may I ask why they would be selling Liquid N2 at a welding place?

  • is that even edible?

  • Yes... :-)

  • awesome!

  • I made ice cream at Fort Steel

  • Where do you get liquid nitrogen? This looks awesome!

  • you realy cant get it. but dry ice is easy to get and you put it in a towel hit it with a rolling pin and just mix it

  • Home/self made "Icecream" is always better! :D + you can add your own candies to it!

  • my dad makes that ice cream all the time its soooo good :)

  • whered you get liquid nitrogen?

  • my dad is the main cryogenic engineer at nasa...lol

  • probably a collage

  • even if you could get it he just used about 100 bucks worth of it, go to bed bath and beyond and get a ice cream maker....lol

My moms a dermatologist and sometimes ill go over to her office and play with it.

  • Mmm...I love liquid nitrogen icecream. I love homemade ice cream too. Heck, I just love ice cream. And no, it's not harmful to you because it all dissipates. If that's the word I'm looking for..

  • I've tried a serving of too cold liquid nitrogen ice once - steam shot out of my nostrils and I've got Sphenopalatine Ganglioneuralgia!

  • awesome!

  • that would be some good ice cream!

  • i tried at school. my frined's dad came in to our science class and made us that and we played with it too

  • lol. Let's ALL use Mathematica!! LOLLLL!!!

  • it also has a some what carbination texture to it'

  • u can eat liquid nitrogen??

  • no it can kill you but if it warms with something then yes because it evaporates and wont hurt you.

  • where do i get Liquid Nitrogen

  • Pretty easy to find....very inexpensive....should be at some local store....

  • lol

  • we tried this in chemistry a few days ago... i have to say it was pretty cool =]

  • Is it deadly????????????????????????????????????

  • If you pour enough of it over yourself: yes.

  • come on, he's supposed to learn it by practice.

Now how's he going to learn?

  • I miss TSS! G4 Sucks!

  • I have 15ly of liquid N2 in my lab, but no milk or sugar.... damn !

    :P

  • i miss this show

i actualy remember watching this live...

  • THAT LOOKS AHMAZINGGGG

    I WANT TO TRY IT

    it looks DELICIOUS.

  • who says, "I know I am"

when he says, "we're getting nice and stiff here"

  • ROFL!

    what the fuck?!?!?

  • nice description

  • I WANT ICE CREAM TOO...

where would people be able to get liquid nitrogen man???

  • OMG I WANT ICECREAM SO MUCH RIGHT NOW

  • where do i get the liguied nitrogen?

  • how can i get liquid nitrogen to make ice cream and teach my son some fun science

  • This is so much faster than an ice cream maker.

    Also very smooth.

  • im doin that tomorrow for chem lab!!!!!

  • i am now obsessed with LN.

  • Coolest element! :)

  • shutup

  • They did dis shit at school for us the ice cream good as a bitch

  • Who ever is readin my comment cud u advise me wat type shop wud have a tank of liquid nitrogen and cud u tell me how much i wud be lookin to pay 4 one of these thanks!!!!!

  • Well, just about any site that sells materials for science projects would have these, and the price depends on the volume of the containers.

  • have you ever had dipin dots

  • it looks DELICIOUS!

  • You can use dry ice or even ice with rock salt (the salt helps cool down the ice even more).

  • where from can we get liquid nitrogen?

  • *goes to the fridge*

  • actually there's nothing unhealthy about it its nitrogen gas, there is already about 70% nitrogen in the air your breathing right now

  • so where can we get some liquid Nitrogen?

  • liquid nitrogen is edible??!

  • mmmmm tastes like nitrogen

  • lolz

have u even seen a guy getting a drop of liquid nitro on him, let alone getting a drop on yourself?

i have in both scenarios. so shut up until u get liquid nitro on urself as well

  • looks yummy. I wonder where I could get some liquid nitrogen...

  • Ohhh Mathematic is amazing hahaha!

  • that's "Mathematica".

  • so when i eat ice cream its made out of it?

  • no...most companies (maybe 99%?) use regular ice or dry ice, because it's a lot cheaper.

dunkin dots (is that wut it's called?) uses nitrogen though

  • no

    you're thinking of

    dip n dots

  • yeah that

  • -273*C is also known as absolutely zero point :D

  • the liquid nitrogen sumblimes at room temperature so its boiling until all the nitrogen is a gas, so there shouldn't be any liquid nitrogen by the time ur eating it

  • yea i learned yesterday in class that the bioling piont is -273C also known as -491 degrees farenhiet

  • You might want to go back and learn some more.

    -273 is absoute zero.

    Nitrogen:

    Boiling point: 77.36 K

    (-195.79 °C, -320.42 °F)

  • lol sublime means to change from solid to gas (mabey vise versa i duno) so liquid nitrogen cant sublime because it is a liquid what its doing is boiling

  • Ok first of all it's sublimate, and second of all it's not sublimating it's just evaporating. You're confusing LN with dry ice (which could also be used to do this).

But you are correct in that there should be none left in the final product, assuming it doesn't form a little bubble in the ice cream.

  • cool

  • i am now obsessed with LN. where do i get it lol

  • lol.....for some reason, that just turns me off of icecream right now.....

  • wtf your not supposed to have liquid nitrogen in your body! it can be poisonous1!! or is that liquid oxygen/hydrogen?

  • wow your smart.

  • I'm sure you mean "you're smart" as someone can't one smart.

  • the good ol days of the screen savers and tech tv..

  • damn.. I want some icecream now..

  • me too!!

  • you can eat liquid nitrogen...?

  • sure you can try that but i think you will never be able to use your toung again...

  • LN2 just COOLS down the mixture... LN2 evaporates so there will not be any LN2 left in the ice cream...

  • yes!for a nice cool breath :D

  • i went to np last year for a course and actually got to make chocolate ice-cream using nitrogen.though mine turn quite hard cause i added to much nitrogen.but it was fun.

  • nitrogen isnt that expensive 2l is about 30 $ the thing is that its hard to find companies that sell them

  • Uhm, you can get it a lot cheaper. You can get it under a dollar per liter.

  • can you just go and buy liquid nitrogen? It seems like it would be illegal.

  • Hey! Maybe I can make sorbet with N2 when I'm enrolled in a college where a strong culinary arts education is present! Sweeeeeeeeet!

  • thats cool. if it doesnt have any calories, why dont they sell nitrogen made ice cream?

  • They do and you can see the machine at NitroCream dot com. There are a couple of stores in WA state that make your ice cream fresh right in front of you! It's the best!

  • Too expensive I guess.

  • nitrogen has no calories, but the made ice cream does. there would be calories either way.

  • wow

  • that stuff is good cuz i went to a feild trip and we gpt to eat some

  • looks yummy! now i want some of that stuff... :D

  • hey. i did this in PennState at a Nano tech. camp. it tasted strangley good. there were like parts of really frozen stuff and then sum not to frozen. it wuz YUMMMMMY!

  • If some was frozen and some wasn't, then they did it wrong :P

  • haha. good piont

  • u can eat nitrogen? sorry im dumb.

  • no, but liquid nitrogen starts to boil waaay below room tempature so when you add it to the cream it all evaporates out. yeah

  • This would save on the cost of an ice cream machine... except for the cost of the liquid nitrogen.

And if you have any of the LN left, you can throw it in a pool!

  • get on with it old man i dont care aboit math

  • liquid nitrogen won't freeze your skin off unless you actually dip your hand or something in it but if its just roling off you arm it wont because the heat from your body will instatly send it into a gas meanin no damage

  • ...a drop on your skin feels like fire.

    is that "no damage?"

  • Using gloves is the proper way, N(l) is -200 farenheit. Its litterally enough to freeze your flesh of your bones, sure a sec in the thing wont do lasting damage, but it can still cause minor frostbite.

  • Wouldn't liquid nitrogen freeze your skin off?

  • Yes, it can freeze, but only if you keep the contact.

    That can be dangerous.

    you can lose a limb.

The quick contact do no harm.

  • Cool...especially I have the same experience of handling liquid nitrogen. I perfectly agree with him about the fact that nothing will happen to you if you dip your hand inside for a brief moment

  • I miss the Screen Savers :(

  • Adding an egg is almost useless, unless you're making custard type ice cream base i.e. cooking the egg in hot cream and suger first then freeze . Carl

  • this is so much better than attack of the show

  • yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • wow

  • damn another thing that i learned!

  • well some containers for luiquid nitrogen can only cost $24 but those arn't as realable

  • dude....i found what im doing in laab next year.

  • wost

  • wost ice cream ever

  • actually its pretty good, looks gross though

  • it's supposively better than the traditional ice cream, cuz it's smoother, as the ice crystals has no time to form in the presence of such a low temperature.

  • hey this is cool I want to try it...but where can I buy a liquid nitrogen????
