You need: tape and a sharpie. You need to: Put tape on the screen torwards the center. Draw dot on tape with the sharpie so you dont have to write on your tv. done

@Coxey82 It does work while no scoping, I like that the dot is red, its bright against the background and with this contrast its easy to keep ur bullet stream in the center of the screen. I suck at sniping but this bright dot aids in quick scoping with any wep. It was a fun lil' project. it would be sweet if I could make the dot smaller for shooting long-range targets this would help the accuracy.

@brigfiche I would recommend them if you mainly use your TV for gaming - because if you want to watch TV, and you have to peel them off. They do peel, it's just that after a while they lose their stick.

i did exactly the same thing....only just used a regular office laser pointer, and hooked it up to a tripod, regularly used for a camera...and i dont have to push down a foot petal to make it come on either...why dont you recommend using it on a glass TV that reflects?

I think glass Televisions may reflect most of the laser light back at the user, I have only used my laser on an H.D. T.V. and this seems to absorb most of the light. I'm no expert on lasers but they all warn against directing the beam into anyones eyes.

@brigfiche ohhh, no if you look and place your hand by the tv, the light does reflect off the screen, but not at me. if you position the laser to the left of the tv...then the laser reflects off the tv and onto the wall to me right.

thats exactly how I aim my laser, good to know a laster can be used on a C.R.T. tv. I was going to use a tripod and a laser like yours, until I found a lil' one at harbor freight already on a small pivoting base for $5.00.

@mattboylol64 Plenty off ppl have mentioned the blue tack, this is good if you have a simple mind and want to get the job done, I like the laser dot because it looks just like red dot, it is brighter than blue tac and with the foot pedal you can turn off the laser any time. I just like playing around with electronics and its really easy to build.........wouldnt blue tack get annoying like a bug crawling on the screen.

I use the foot pedal so I can lower my weapon and it will feel normal, you raise a good point though. Laser works well when EMP'd
