I was at the GMH Factory this week and they had a few 100 of these laying around the place. The front is styled on past Pontiac models to give it a Pontiac; too bad as the commodore front and Monaro hood scoops look so much better.. nice new colours this year though
Its bad luck for American Revheads though coz your Police are finally gonna have a car that pulls 13 second quarters, tops out well over 150 mph, handles like a race car....and has a 4 doors so they can lock you in the back... heheheheeeeee
Yeah, man. Where did this whole australian national car pride come from when their car companies are OUR car companies, meaning American. It's beyond me.
um how dose that make it an american car lambourgini is italian but its owned by audi but u dont call it german the car is built here designd here and even the engine is worked on and twiked for extra performance in australia we even make our own range of v8 fords im not ford fan but there still and australian car because there built and desinged in australian made cars leave american made cars in the dark ages
i love my 06 grand prix gt but that car is sweet.i dont know why they cant build it in oshawa with the rear wheel impala and camaro.there will be another rear wheel car built there word has it it will be a redesigned gto
They are doing this the same way they did the GTO/Manaro. The best part is you get the best of both worlds. GM has nothing to do with the workmanship of the car itself, and you get the Corvette powertrain. It will be the same as the GTO, underappreciated, underrated, and now, quite desirable. If you are thinking about one, at least drive it, you will be impressed.
lol the G6 is NOT better than the upcoming G8 ECDT1089, the G8 has a 363 HP V8 engine in it. the top of the line G6 coupe only has what like 250hp? around that and is a V6 or 2.0L right, i can't remember?
well this and the vauxhall are both designed and made here in Australia by the same company - Holden. only difference the holden version and the pontiac is the front end grill treatment which is better on the holden
dont they come with that 5.7L in the GTO?

Starts at around 27-28k for the base model, and into the low-mid 30's for the top of the line.

Australia wouldn't even have Holden, if it wasn't for OUR GM.

Do you own GM? How is it YOUR company? Actually, Holden is an Australian company 100% owned by GM...there is a difference.
Maybe the pride comes from the fact that the G8 was designed and built by Australians in Australia

History lesson
Holden started in 1856 making trams
GM started in 1908
Holden merged with GM in 1931
