a double bass does not have frets! there are hand positions (half position, first position, second position, etc.). and wow you have the bass way too tall for you! if you want to teach the upright bass you might want to learn how to play it first

you dont find frets, you find notes. and its not a fretboard, its a fingerboard. you could say "how to find the equivalent position of the first and second frets" but seeing as there are no frets on this instrument, it makes it difficult to find them
