@lessnessproductions conditioner actually doesn't really clean hair as much as it detangles and add moisture, shampoos strip hair of natural elements of the hair
This vid makes me want to start CO washing again :D I'm glad to see that you don't use like half a bottle conditioner everytime you wash, I've heard some people do that. I guess it depends quite a lot on how good you work the conditioner on your scalp and that way might not need that much.
This also made me realize that I might need a heavier conditioner for my ends because the one I have also feels like it's not doing much.
I tried CO for over a month and didn't work out great for me, dry scalp got really bad, so I shampoo once or twice a week and any other time I need to wash my hair I CO. :)
Hello- LUv ur hair.. wow... so.. you condition your hair daily>? without shampoo? do you always use white rain.. I would assume white rain would have silicon? are you sure it doesnt? Please explain silcone and hair care thanks//
When you transitioned from shampoo to CO, did you notice any sort of "period" where your scalp was more oily while it adjusted? I'm thinking of going this way and was just wondering... I love your videos, very awesome! Thank you!
You have great hair, love the color! The White Rain tropical coconut shampoo is good stuff also, smells great. Like you, I buy mine at the Dollar Tree. I love White Rain products. I can't bring myself to do that CO washing stuff, tho. Helped me to cut way down on shampooing and forget about coloring, perming, hot rollers or blow drying. Seems like the less product the better. I use a bit of hair serum for tangles and maybe a touch of hair spray. Less is more, I think. Good videos.
@LOVEisHAIR Hi JJJ! Thanks for the comments. I like the feel of fresh hair plus it is easier for me to detangle in the shower, so it just works out best for me to CO daily. I can skip a day or two but would rather not. In winter '09 we had an ice storm and with no power & an electric water heater, it meant ice cold showers for 2 weeks. During that time I only washed my hair every 3 days and kept it to a quick shampoo & condition since CO required more time rinsing.
Hey hey, it's aries from lhc...been watching your videos and keeping up with what's up on your site.
Question for you cause I'm going to go ahead and give your routine a try rather than plunk a bunch out for JC products again just yet. Do you use an actual leave in on your ends after you wash and condition? I know you do the honey thing before leaving the shower. I have extra dryness now due to illness and severe hair loss so am looking for something new to try again before JC again.
@dlnaries My mind is not working tonight..what's JC?
No I don't use a leave in. If I felt like I needed one I would just put a tiny bit of my wash out conditioner (like the Biolage) in without rinsing. You can also make your own leave in this way. Put a little of your favorite conditioner in a spray bottle and fill the rest with distilled water. Then spray it when detangling, on the ends before putting them in a bun, or at night before bed. That should help make the ends feel softer.
@CinnamonHair Wow, that was fast. JC is Jessi Curl. I completely forgot about using conditioner in with my distilled water heh. Thanks for the reminder.
Do you color or henna? I love your color and have since joining lhc and keeping up with you as one of the hair guru's lol.
@CinnamonHair You are right, it is wonky lol. Thought so about the color and you are quite welcome. Will let you know how going back to CO using your method works. I do use the Biolage Balm periodically and oil but coning all the time is just killing my hair.
@CinnamonHair I don't think my reply posted. JC is Jessi Curl and super expensive. Forgot I used to do that with my spray bottle of distilled water, thanks for the reminder. Do you color or henna? I have always admired the color of your hair and can't remember if you do. I don't think you do.
Hi - I love your videos - They have been SO helpful. - esp. this one and Part 2. Thanks for sharing your secrets so freely. I'm going to start wearing a sleep cap. BTW - If you have a Big Lots store, I saw your fav. cond. to wash your hair with there in a smaller bottle. I bought 2...
Yes the dollar stores sell some good products. Walmarts seems to have EVERYTHING and nothin. They stopped carrying this one product makeup foundation.. BAKELITE OMG it must be worth a fortune. Where did you find a BAKELITE item? On EBAY a bakelite bracelet and anything are so popular I have lost SEVERAL bids on Bakelite stuff. where did you find it girl?
@WonderWomanFan4life Youtube doesn't let me link in the comments but you can find the combs by searching for seller "hairsense" on ebay. They have a website too, hairsense~dot~com.
Really enjoyed your new videos ! Think I am gonna have to look for a sleep cap. Never thought about trying co cause I always thought it was for curly hair people.
Thank you so much for doing this video. Very helpful, you have my dream hair. :)
My hair is at my waist, a little below...and in a much darker color, but I really like your style and length. Thank you again and have a very lovely day!
I've had the larger comb for a while, I got it at your suggestion and I have to agree it was well worth the money. Even though my hair is much shorter than yours, somewhere around waist right now, that comb is amazing! I rarely use any type of brush anymore, just don't need to.
I was on your website before I got here. My goal is to have classic length hair.

@lessnessproductions conditioner doesnt deplete the hair like shampoo does, this is partly why she uses condish instead, i think :)
