if we human have pets and care for pets, who's to say that an animal wouldn't care for a child too? if you've ever been to an animal shelter, the smaller cats/ dogs are adopted over the older ones. we're very close relatives of monkeys, so they probably think similarly to the way we do. the helpless infant could have been cared for. to some extent i'm sure he had to survive on his own and feed off of the monkey's scraps, but to some degree he was raised by them too. just my theory on this.

This whole case of ''cross-species nurturing'' seems so impossible to these people, i find it so hard to comprehend what they're saying, it happens all the time in peoples homes with pets, dogs don't necessarily nurture humans but its easy to see that they care and love people, i know my dog did they have a level of emotions and instinct they know when something is up. @reliablehypothysis i wouldnt say "complexed".. i would say a humans mind is an "influenced empty mind" you dont need to train a dog to act like a dog, a puppy remains its instincts to become a dog by itself even if taken just 3 months of age. on the other hands, humans seem to be "empty" it, forgets that a human should act like humans...

Humans are able to adjust like this because we don't fully rely on our instincts like dogs do! The human brain does not "forget" how he "should" act, because there is nothing to forget! The brain is ready to learn how to behave from the very beginning! I honestly think that speaks more to the human brain's intelligence than, as you suggest, to the opposite..
