  • Csi New york :)

  • Il se fout de la gueule de qui, le chanteur pour s'habiller de la sorte? hahaha, excellent!

  • this is fucking amazing

  • pete's singing voice is similar to brian may's

  • feel that? Its called chills

  • This song still kicks major ass. Today's crap music can't compare to this.

  • Kieth misses the break at 2:10. But its ok, he was probably three bottles of Jack deep.

  • I don't need to fight to prove that I am right.

  • @coelhomarianna You wanna fight to prove that your right about that?

  • @IliketrainsX365 this is a part of the lyrics... Just listen again the second verse.

  • @coelhomarianna I know, I was making a joke.

  • makes you want to light a big fat one up

  • Sooooooooo coooooooooooool!!!!!!!

  • what i want for christmas....pete townshed's nose

  • @M93RAFfIcca ahahahahaha!! good !!! :0

  • one of the all time BEST drum solos ever in this song!!

  • 1:55 lol

  • sorry you all miss out the clash

  • 3:09-3:17 is one of the best things I have ever heard in my life.

  • Pete Townshend is the energizer bunny in disguise :D

  • Such a stage presence !

  • THE WHO WOO WHOOOO!!!!

  • What a band, i love it !

  • What a band.

I was a local muso when they at their peak in the 70's.

But I recall we spoke about them in the late 60's and could not believe that you could have a band without a rthymn guitarist.

    So much power and energy!

  • Dr. House version is just as good as the original~ :p

  • awesome song.....but, what about with the booty-shake at 1:56????? XD

  • it was MUSIC and he did no more

    i hate people :'(

  • HEY !!! WATCH JELLY PLANE on YOUTUBE !!!

  • Lol Pete Towshend is so hyper.

  • The who had the best drummer in the world

    the best lead guitar

    the best bass guitarist

and the best front man ....Freddy Mercury a close second though

  • i was in the crowd for this!!!! oj...im from the 90s unfortunately..

  • Only Pete Townshend would punch a tambourine..

  • Gotta love Pete's energy! The funny thing is that he is not considered one of the most attractive rock stars, but his playing and energy alone make him one of the sexiest to me. Not mention he is a fucking genius! Can't take my eyes off of him!

  • @kenich420 and what are you listening to?

  • @kenich420 The Who = amazing music. It's just as simple as that.

  • @301b0y

The Who= that shit under my shoe

  • @kenich420 That shit under your shoe sure as hell can play amazing music.

  • @301b0y It's obviously you have a sick obsessional crush on the who. I think you made fun of yourself enough already

  • @kenich420 WOW! I guess all their fans don't appreciate good music. Classical music is the best anyway.

  • @MrB17FlyingFortress

I appreciate and love music. I was going to music festivals as a 15 yr old kid, throwing down and experiencing things you can't read about. I just take offense to people attaching any type of 'greatest' label to the who. They are an average quality band.

  • die in hell mate

  • @kenich420 No sir, you are the faggot.

  • @FacelessEvolution Floor show.wmv is the dictionary definition of Faggot if you ask me, I appreciate the sir, virgin loser

  • my favourite part was 0:00 - 5:19

  • I listen to this great band, and part of me feels sad that there will never be bands like this again.

  • F.... where ta hell have I been ... this is an amazing video ... had no idea this tune title was in due part to Terry Riley. Check out Terry's son Gyan here on you Tube. Top shelf classical player.

  • Great

  • Was anyone else changed forever after the first time they heard Who's Next?

  • Who did this?

  • It gets my vote for the best live performance ever! Even ahead of LZ's Achilles Last Stand at Knebworth in 1979 and that's REALLY saying sth!

  • @Seanus32 It's pretty good but there are many LZ shows that top this. In my time of dying 1975 for example.

  • @yooo711 It's a matter of preference. I really like LZ and maybe it's best not to make comparisons. Still, The Who really hit top gear and gelled perfectly there.

  • @yooo711 - In terms of live performance this was a poor period for The Who as Keith Moon was unfit and feeling the consequences of 13 years of 'aving it. The Who's best live period was 1970 - 1975, where - in my opinion - they wiped the floor with everyone.

  • Make a playlist of this song, A Quick One While He's Away (Live at Leeds), Pinball Wizard, My Generation, Magic Bus, Dream On, Sweet Child o' Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Battle of Evermore, Stairway to Heaven, Anarchy in the U. K., Smells Like Teen Spirit, The Eye of the Tiger, A Day in the Life, Helter Skelter, Jesus of Suburbia, and St. Jimmy. Then listen to said playlist and watch the world explode from the sheer overload of pure, undiluted awesomeness of epic win.

  • @DarthPraxus27

Excuse me, did you just attempt to put Green Day in the same playlist as The Who, Queen, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, and Nirvana?

    May I ask, WHY?

  • @randyschuele Because, like them or not, they are the most successful rock band of this decade. They try to put real meaning into their songs, and I'd argue that they are descendants of the Who; they've written two rock operas, two songs very similar to "A Quick One, While He's Away," and their musical style is gradually becoming more and more similar. They've written some awesome albums, and I'm proud to include them in my pantheon of favorite bands. Quit hating, please, good sir.

  • @DarthPraxus27 I won't argue against the fact that you do indeed have the right to like them and they are one of the most known bands of this decade, I'll have to disagree and say they don't belong on a list with those bands. It's been almost 50 years since The Who came around and people still know the name. I doubt in 30 years many of the new generation will still care about Green Day.

  • @randyschuele Well, we shall see. It's been twenty years since their formation and they're still selling millions of albums.

  • @DarthPraxus27 The most successful band of the decade is probably U2

  • @dropturdsonyou

You are probably correct. That doesnt make it right though.....

  • @fockingclassy Ya i wouldn't say they're the best either. They are just the most successful rigfht now

  • @randyschuele

Green Day were arguably as influencial as though mentioned above......

  • @randyschuele who the F is Green Day?

  • @randyschuele What's wrong with Green Day? They're still good, unlike the washed up Axl Rose and his gang of ever-changing band mates, the American idol judge Steven Tyler and his sell-out Fox BS, and the bluegrass conformed Robert Plant? Everyone has had their heyday and i believe Green Day is still in theirs.

  • @BuddyRider green day are just as shit as axl rose and guns and roses, only true bands like the beatles, stones, who, kinks, led zep, hendrix experience will go down in history books and folklore, forget everyone else they won't be remembered as anything more than a band who had a few singles but no real impact on the world or the music industry, peace.

  • @lees2oo8 Get the hell outta here with the Kinks dude. Ever heard of Tom Petty, or Patti Smith. That Kinks are as apparent as the Monkeys.

  • @Jstykz31

the Kinks have done more influence rock than most, including the who.

  • @Jstykz31 they never really influenced rock music though, the bands i listed set the foundations of a good solid rock song, and did it better than anyone else who attempted

  • @BuddyRider hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. "green day" and "good" all in one sentence.

  • @randyschuele ...Because they're a million times better than Guns N Roses?

And a bit better than Aerosmith. I want to know why you think any band should be paired with Zeppelin. Thats practically a felony.

  • @randyschuele

To be honest I would not have Nirvana on that list...

The WHo, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, the Doors...sure but Nirvana I'm sorry but to me they're like Greenday, I'm not saying they suck they just don't belong to that group of awesome bands.

  • @bagenelles I agree something like this may be the reason, Rock vs. Punk. None the less all those bands are still the fucking tits

  • @bagenelles Take out aerosmith and put nirvana in there I think ... aerosmith seems to me to be more of a continuation of 80's pop rock hair metal, while nirvana was different and new for its time

  • @bagenelles Aerosmith? LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

  • @randyschuele because he wanted too? does it really matter cause its his opinion...

  • @randyschuele because that's how you see how real rock was made back then, and how they fuck it now

  • @DarthPraxus27 and you make a better playlist.

  • the like bar is a joint with a cherry tip

  • Best rock band ever. Period.

  • 1:35 chuck norris?

  • Amazing!

  • best band

  • 497 personas les dan por el orto ._.

  • I will have what Mr.Townshend is having

  • cocaine anyone?

  • As the group struggled to get a break, Townshend attended art school, while the remaining three worked odd jobs. Soon, the band became regulars at the Marquee Club in London and attracted a small following, which led to the interest of manager Pete Meaden.

  • That's puns about how their name is "The Who" everybody. We get it, "Who" is a word.

  • These divergent personalities frequently clashed, but these frictions also resulted in a decade's worth of remarkable music -- it took some five years to find their audience, but at the tail end of the 1960s they suddenly achieved a level of popularity rivaling the Rolling Stones, both as a live act and in album sales.

  • Goosebump-tastic!!

  • i was waiting for him to punch through the tambourine

  • It appears that I'm the 8,996213th person to watch this. Stunning.

  • Pete, the greatest power-chord guitarist in history, also is the greatest power-tambourine

player in history!! Except during "Sparks" when Roger breaks out TWO tambourines and plays them together like a madman!! Long Live THE WHO!!!

  • Я хочу замуж за Пита Таушенда

    I wanna marry Pete Townshend

  • Few bands in the history of rock & roll were riddled with as many contradictions as the Who.

  • I realize that Keith Moon is solo drum for on the tour in heaven

  • The Who are an English rock band formed in Shepherd's Bush, West London, United Kingdom, in 1964. They grew to be considered one of the greatest and most influential recording groups in the world; they are also famed for their prowess as a live band--winning awards and being described as "possibly the greatest live band ever"--primarily due to their energetic, loud performances and their smashing of instruments.

  • The Who?

    No,The Best!

  • Knock knock

    Who's there?

  • Townshend is a fucking legend

  • Anyone know what's going on around 4:37-4:40, pete is clearly flailing his arms in the air yet I still feel like I hear the guitar...

  • @ajpena47 What you're hearing is Entwistle's bass....

  • @345MrAmerica but then when he starts strumming again, I don't hear any additional sound. Also, the bass seems to come from the left, while the guitar is coming from the right. I'm not an expert, but it sounds like both the bass and guitar are going.

  • @ajpena47 Well then, you've looked into it too much and the CIA are going to nab you

  • @ajpena47 His guitar sound is looped over that part.

  • and not a single button was pressed to make this music.

    TEENAGE WASTELAND.......

  • Roger Daltrey can kick a man's ass just with his voice.

  • the who are the greatest rock band ever, I dont like zepplin that much. All their songs sound the same.

  • @1Sifting I don't really agree that all of led zeppelin's songs sound the same.

  • @1Sifting I guess you haven't listened to a full album of Zeppelin's. I have no problem with anyone disliking Led Zeppelin, but I don't think your opinion is very well grounded, considering Led Zeppelin is exceptionally varied all while being consistent.

  • nothing broght me here just my great taste in music

  • ahhhhh...anyone know what year this is?

  • @chelseadunbar13 Live at Kilburn - 1977

  • @buschinelli007 No, this is Shepperton - 1978

  • thumbs up if you heard this more than 20 times today.. and yesterday... and you will be doing the same tomorrow

  • Brilliant minded people tend to intimidate weak minded people, it’s a fact...The members of The Who were brilliant and shall always be remembered as such...

  • @anthonywcobb *Brilliant"? dont you mean exceptionally egocentric?

  • I read somewhere that keith moon's drums track of this show was, later, recorded in a studio by himself. The live track was sound as shit as hell. He wasn't soundin' like the old KEITH MOON anymore, by alcohol and overweight.

  • How can you say their music sucks? Obviously you don't know whats a good music and you can only criticise if you've done better. Why don't you just listen and enjoy, otherwise don't view it if you don't like. They're great!
