I know exactly what you mean about some makeup counter girls! Because I'm pale they automatically assume that I've got a pink undertone so I usually come out looking like a salmon shade-wise. I feel rude saying no when they ask if I want to be matched though. A few months ago I went to the chanel counter and this girl literally would not let me buy the shade I wanted ... she was so insistent I was wrong. Yet the shade she'd chosen for me was literally bright pink and about 3 shades too dark!
@laurenalamode Thanks for that I'm going to try that shade. But perhaps I ought to wait until I actually finish my chanel vitalumiere as I keeping buying foundations and tend to never use them all up, which is just a real waste of money.
@backdown30 I stopped following what the sales assistants at make-up counters match me up with along time ago. From my experience they are wrong 90% of the time, ecspecially when it comes to asian skin like mine they tended to favour the orange look for me (not a good look on anyone!). After all you know your'e skin better than anyone so swatch at least three shades that seem to match your'e skin then look at them in natural light outside, also let them oxidise and settle into skin.
Im interested in the Shu Uemura foundation but I have to order it online because we don't have in the states anymore. I have no idea what shade I am! Im NC 20 would you recommend a shade?

The site is fantastic the lady is truely great. Has swatches out of all the shu foundarions, I hope it helps and you are able to find the right shade for you. In addition to this try the shu website as it categorises the shades. Hope it helps!

i'm the same shade in every single foundation as you are... the shade i am in mufe hd is #127.... you should try that color instead!
