i know this is involuntary criticism, but keep a waltz base in mind. And, the quarter beat rest between the chromatic left-hand chords and the D chord (with repeated A octaves) should be much more prominent, in my opinion. Thats only my opinion.
I ust passed the Grade 8 with merit but wanna sit it again for distinction....the examiner said that it was really excellent apart for some mistakes...and i played it a bit faster...why don't you try that????btw im 15 too

dude i'm 15 and on grade 8 right now.. lol i can play all the others on grade 8 including this one, but when i play it, i just don't find it emotional.. almost like a machine just playing it out.. :/
I've just finished this at 13 it's so rewarding to perform, everyone loves it xD

I've only just started looking at my Grade 8 pieces and the only one I've looked at with my teacher is the Bowen - Prelude in E Minor.
It's V niice.
However, this sounds interesting and chordal :)

i honestly think its too slow and that you should't run the chord...other than that it's good!!!!!!!!!!

I play this piece. Very nice.
I don't think you're meant to run the chords, you'd probably lose marks for doing that.
I like how you lift your arms (in a relaxed way) in the last 2 chords.
