FINALLY!! I been saying this since the first time I ever saw TrackIR. I was like " They are so close but the rotation thing is so wrong. I have always intended on doing what you have here. With triple screens I feel this is ultimate. Also if you did have 3D enabled I bet it would be even more amazing!!
lol, 1:00 - if you REALLY want 3D your going to have to get yourself a 3D Vision kit, but that probably wont happen, since I'm sure you got an ATI card.
3D is AMAZING, I can only imagine what it would be like with 3 monitors, and a Head Tracker :-)
but as it is...3 monitors doesn't give you Depth, it gives you peripheral vision. it would give you more of a sense of being in the game, than having 1 monitor, but STILL, no depth :-)
@z28camaro2: You misunderstood. I was talking about the shifting parallax that gives you an idea of 3D placement, not 3D via a doubled image. As I move my head back and forth, the dash moves a lot, the cars near me a little, and trees in the distance almost not at all, just like in the physical world. Without head tracking, there would be no shifting parallax like that. Everything stays in the same relative screen position, giving you no additional clues to their placement in the 3D world.
@z28camaro2 Thanks. Unfortunately I don't. I didn't have it tweaked to the point where it was really smooth. FreeTrack and TrackIR use different software, so I don't know how much would carry over anyway. I have to get my ass in gear and get it set back up. Hope you enjoy yours!
@blastfemmerx lol, well I'm having a pain trying to configure it, just got it today, I removed the IR Filter, and put a piece of negative film over the lense, and it's not tracking my movement at all, just going crazy on the screen, nothing that makes any sense.... :-( got any tips?
@blastfemmerx hey, thanks for replying, I did finally get it all working, I just had to focus the lens :-)
but it's still a pain setting up, I have been tinkering with the different sensitivity settings, and I just can't get it perfect....when I roll my head to the side, it rolls to the side, but ALSO upwards..
is there like a Rule of Thumb to getting it to work right? lol
maybe you could send me your settings file or something.
@z28camaro2 I did try this one guys solution for increasing the frame rate, which required downloading this enabler thing, to disable the exposure feature, and it was suppose to increase it to 30 fps (which is what the cam is rated at) but it didn't work. :-(

@blastfemmerx ok I see what you mean now :-) you still do have a great setup tho, it was just something I was pointing out in case you didn't know.
I get my webcam and Trackclip Pro in a day or so :-)
can't wait to try it out :-)
Do you have any good tips to making it work really well?

@z28camaro2 Did you try it before removing the filter? Exposed and developed film is an IR filter, but usually a weaker one.
'Fraid I can't be of much help, really. There are forums that would probably be a good place to check, like the one for FreeTrack.

also I am getting low FPS on the cam, like 19.

Very nice indeed. Can you tell the details of your rig that is running so smoothly?

@macguver: That's a replay that uses less horsepower than during gameplay, so specs wouldn't mean much.
