Also, you are using a Chamois Leather! This is also a bad way to dry a car! First of all, you dried the car before using a clay bar to pick up any grit particles left behind, and so, you were rubbing the grit into the paint when drying!
Also, use Microfibre towels. They dry the car without causing swirl marks, where as Chamois Leathers do cause swirl marks!
Avoid these videos everyone. Do what this guy says and you WILL cause swirl marks and damage to your paint!
You say you should not go back to the bucket often to save walking back and forth and rinsing product from the wash mitt, but that is EXACTLY what you want!
You washed the whole side of the car without even dipping back into your bucket to rinse the grit you picked up from the wash mitt. Due to you not rinsing your mitt during the wash, you are then spreading that grit around and scratching it into the paint!!
