Philip Levine's work is awesome. I just read his "What Work is," which although not at the same heights of Belle Isle, I enjoyed very much. Thanks Philip for pulling poetry back down into the mouths of the people, thank-you for the wonderful descent into the Detroit River, where I would happily sit among melted snow and car parts, only as long as you were there to sing them.
