As lifelong resident of Louisiana I can testify that we have some of the worst highways in the country. Texas however has some the best that I've ever seen.
if it helps, this state was voted last in a survey of the 50 states for best roads, 2nd for deadliest roads (especially in New Orleans). crazy right? lol
