also installing win 95 on a 70-ish mb hard disk ... that's pretty brave. best i ever got it down to was about 30mb by deleting a load of stuff after installation, but a typical "fresh" install was over 80mb, so how they even made it fit in order to trim it down is a mystery.
and I like the car stereo hooked up to the PC power supply, i always meant to try that out given how they run on 12v and are about the size of a CD drive. Have you investigated whether it'd fit in a 5.25" drive bay? :-)
@TahreyUK it came with win95 on it, i have the alpine hooked up to a home made transformer powersupply but it has ran off a computer before, and i have toyed with the idea of installing it in a computer and imputing the comptuers sound card into the car radio in the auxiliary inputs and useing it to directly drive a set of speakers
quite impressed to see how w95 seems to run more efficiently and responsively than XP on my Core2Duo at work ... but, a PS/2 with SVGA? I thought they all used XGA cards (640x480 and 1024x768 only). Hmm. That and it having the wrong CPU makes me wonder if someone just replaced the motherboard entirely for a different model. Though there were some 386 and 486 chips that could fit in the "wrong" motherboards - they were reasonably interoperable...
i would but my brother got in my room when i was gone for a week and played with it on a monday i got home on a friday and i came back and it was locked up so i tried restarting it and it wouldnt turn on agean it just makes a pop noise through the pc speaker it needs a new power supply
now smash it
i would watch that.
