  • Such is the fate of the enemies of man

  • Epic

    Of

    The

    World

    We

    Can

    Play

    :3

  • Bravery is not about being fearless.

Bravery is about being scared shitless and still doing what needs to be done.

  • @TheKingofnoob That's what makes the Imperial Guard regiments, every single one of them, regiments filled to the brim with heroes.

  • @TheKingofnoob But we do not fear. We are fear incarnate

  • Zakklamm and johnforge111, you are both right, the imperial guard are known as the hammer and as the sheild of the emperor, and the Space marines are known as the mailed fist or sword of the emperor...

  • I am a Tau spy.

  • Space marines have no fear for their battle proves and exprience plus all the Gear and genetic alteration and their traning.. this is the reason you'll find more Guards in numbers then Space Marines

  • Glory For The Emperor his space marines and all of mankind

  • Glory to the Emperor

  • At ImperialGuard322nd space marines do actually feel fear, the only difference is that they've had a lifetime of training and limited gene therapy to suppress it. Despite this though, I do see your average Guardsmen as being "braver" than a space marine just because of the fact they face what space marines tend to face, but without all the awesome space marine gear and training.

  • @adeptusastartes92

check out the volunteer guardsmen they go into battle with a cardboard Tshirt and a flashlight yet they -volunteer- for it. man you'd have to have some serious balls of steel to do the kind of work a guardsman does

  • @adeptusastartes92 Very true, though I think the Imperium tries to avoid sending Guardsmen when they can have Space Marines handle it. Wait, no, I must be thinking of a different Imperium. Correction: they send Guardsmen, but then Space Marines shrug and go do the crazy stuff. Not that I'm dissing the IG. Without them, the Space Marines could never stand. The IG is the Hammer of the Emperor, mightier in total than all the Space Marine Chapters.

  • @ZakkLamm I.Gs are the Shield of the Imperium.. due to thier large numbers they hold all fronts until the Hammer Arrives... Space marines...

  • @johnforge111 No, the Imperial Guard is considered the Hammer of the Emperor, though the title is also claimed by the Ordo Malleus (Order of the Hammer, literally). The Space Marines consider themselves the Mailed Fist of the Emperor, or His Angels of Death. Contrary to the slant most Space Marine-favoring literature gives, the Imperial Guard has independently carried out thousands of campaigns and won. Look at Lord Solar Macharius and his crusades.

  • @ZakkLamm

I fear no evil For I am Fear incarnate!!!! Chaaaaarrgeee!!!

    *smashes puppy*

  • @johnforge111 the puppy was a worshipper of slannesh due to its large and cute eyes.

  • tech-priest ftw!

  • the impirium is the greatest organization that ever existed it rules over trillions and is under constant attack. they cant help but to be brutal. i for one love this universe

  • More like quadrillions of humans.

  • Hahaha yeah they were cloned after a god like space marine, they have like crazy training and shit and like they have an extra lung so they can breath on other planets....like they used to be like insanely strong but not no more...all you guys should go read the books on DoW its pretty intense

  • To the Space Marines, there is but one commandment.

    THOU SHALL KILL!!!

  • when the humans pray to the emporer no one will die by the hand of the space marines but some who hates or dont believe in the big emporer will die so they fight for humanity with a reason that calls god / emporer

  • people the space marines are some badass epic fighters..... they are brave!!!

i wish they were real tho :(

    many would agree

  • Hum... they would burn millions of people for not abandon their religions and accept the cult to the emperor...

I prefer them only in fiction.

  • I would just convert, the cult of the Emperor is pretty much based on abrahamic religon, cept they took out the no killing and be nice to everyone parts.

  • Technically your describing the church in 15th centuary europe.

  • whats so fictional about it? there are religions like that today i mean really there are far worse fates than death u know

  • @dinocha0s Most religions actually teach that to die for their cause is a great honor. There are the Shariah Muslim suicide bombers, and the Christian martyrs of old... to die for a cause isn't really a fictional concept at all. Look at modern military complexes. "I'll give my life, if that's what's asked" is an Imperial Guard saying, but it fully applies to real servicemen. I should know. I was one.

  • I'm sorry to burst your buble, but space marines are not brave. before you give me a thumb down let me explain. Space Marines do not feel fear, they are phiscaly incapable of it. Since they do not need to over come fear, while yes they action are without a doubt Heroic, they can not be brave/couragous.

  • Hehe Ill give you a thumbs up for an interesting point... and because I played orks :)

  • umm i think ur talking to the wrong person cause i didnt give u a thumbs down all i said is i wish the space marine are real :D

  • oh wait u were trying to explain to me that space marines aint brave i mean like its true but dont think im a harsh person to give u thumbs down let me thumbs it up for u :)

  • well im sure 1 day in the future there will be real space marines although not exacly like the ones in 40k maybe a hybrid between the terran marine/halo/space marine kinda stuff

  • so how many of u guys actually play the tabletop? i play chaos 3500 pts

  • ultramarines 3000 points around 800 for my catachans and soon some inquisition. for the imperium!! also about 3500 of dwarves in fantasy and warmachine.

  • Around 2.000 points, Necron army, but I'm still collecting.

  • About 2500 of Imperial Guard, the 322nd Rodina

  • Damn! i read the description!! Havn't played the game lol

  • AWESOME SONG THANKS FOR POSTING!

  • toxicalshells that is exactly my point......i have said that since it even released. It just really isnt the same as the others because of all the changes.

  • it was made to be more like the actual table top game rather than just another rts where you overwhelm you enemies with amss ammount of units, DAW2 actually requires "thought" on how to win, especially on multiplayer

  • Thank you for this comment, to many people don't know what 40k is.

  • I agree ; I played almost every DoW video game except Winter Assault and this is really good change they made. DoW 2 is one of the best games I played in years.

  • Well, maybe, but DoW II is designed so that you can play it over and over again without getting bored, by way of the randomness of hundreds of upgrades, and the randomness of which mission comes when.

  • but its crap in the way how you cant recruit squads and your not allowed to rename them, i'd play it again if they put in a patch for the whole game where you could buy squads easier, and btw there ARE cheats toxic.

  • I woulda been happy with DoW2 if they just took DoW1, uped the graphics, and added tyranids

  • Same.

I prefer DoW1 because of the sheer awesomeness of the Flashlight Meatshields (Imperial Guard)

  • and used the details from dow2,and add a massive campaign, now that would be awesome!

  • Victory for the Rightious!!!! For the Emperor and the Imperium!!!!!!!

  • It has to be said - the campaign is good, but the co-op campaign? So few games manage to get that right, but here it really improves the game. If you like playing with your friends, there's none better out there right now.

  • also gabriel angelos is a goddamn badass

  • what happen if you die on the last stand?

after you put all of the poison in the Vain?

just want to know thats all

  • i think the litany of fury's arrival is triggered automatically once you lose a few squads, but i'm not sure

  • i dont think i didnt LOSE any squads

    (first time on Easy mode)

i just kill and kill some nids

  • dunno,

I think they set it up so you won't lose,

you just need to figure out how to beat it ;)

  • sorry, never mind my comment, just found out today.

  • play the game and read up on his lore before you ask questions.

  • EPIC!

  • "None can stop the crusade of the Righteous!"

-best strategy game ever DoW 2

  • isnt gabriel angelos the guy from the first ever dawn of war campaign?

  • yes he is

  • Yeah, he is.

  • The making of a metropolis in strategy games is a pretty hard thing, but if you know the tricks to give the player the idea of the giant buildings, of the once prosperous city, the architecture and signs that people lived once a normal life there, then the player himself becomes part of the whole atmosphere and believes that what he does now will affect the very future of the city itself.

That's what Relic aims to achieve: ATMOSPHERE

  • This is a great day for the blood ravens

THE EMPEROR IS WITH US TODAY BROTHERS!!

  • Amazing! I will get DoW2.

  • The Tyranids are purged, the battle is far from over but the Blood Ravens are well up to the task. Thanks to you commander.

  • lol!! k thx.

  • haha lol

  • Well, now that Relic has feautered more tactical combat and use of environment, the city-fighting has become one of the most enjoyable fight modes ever!Terra's landscape is filled with cities. That's why an update in the matter of cities had to be put in first place during the making of the game.(Just like Meridian).

  • Dawn of War 3 will probably wait for the next generation of PCs before being released. In the mean time, they still got tons of races to release in expansion sets. I just hope the stories are as good as this one's was.

  • Yea I thought the exspansions were rushed and had very bad storylines...

  • Epicness at its finest

  • Triumphant music at its best hehe

  • DoW2 is AWESOME...I finished the campaign! It is videogame history

  • warhammer forever.

  • DoW 2 has one of the most engaging campaigns in a strategy game... and the music sets the perfect mood for it.

  • Epic.
