Therefore slavery is voluntary in Islam. And even then, the master must treat the slave better than he treats himself, as this is what the Holy Qur'an prescribes (Surah ad-Dahr 76:7-8).

I used the Holy Qur'an to prove that slaves are to be treated nicely and kindly. It says so (Surah an-Nisa 4:36).
We are told to look after slaves more than we look after our own selves and family (Surah ad-Dahr 76:7-8).
This verse was revealed because that's what the Prophet's family did. In other words, the slave is in a better position than the master, under Islamic Law.

Lastly, slaves who wished to be freed can be freed for a certain sum of money and when they are freed, the master must give them money out of charity (Surah an-Nur 24:33). Part of Islam is to give charity for the freedom of slaves/captives (Surah al-Baqara 2:177, Surah at-Tawba 9:60).
Therefore slavery is voluntary in Islam. And even then, the master must treat the slave better than he treats himself, as this is what the Holy Qur'an prescribes (Surah ad-Dahr 76:7-8).
