  • thats not motion tracking..........

  • @xXwhygodwhyXx yeah it is

  • How can i make reflections on the Ground?

  • Is that a big daddy on the window at the end? (second from the right)

  • @sfger Yes :)

  • @nexami i get a shakey track how can i make it smoother like yours like what settings?

  • did u just use blender? if so, how did u do the reflection? If not, what program did u use.

Btw: I don't mean Voodoo. I mean After Effects, Sony Vegas, Premiere, etc.

  • @TheFXGuy Just a guess, He could have used env maps

  • where do you get voodoo

  • type "Voodoo camera tracker" into Google. The correct result will be from Digilab.

  • what's this camera?

i have Sony DCR-108E. (writes on DVD)

and i used a lot of programs for 3d tracking. and i have never get results.

and my video have never tracked normally. NEVER. i dont know what to do.

can you help me? please answer in PM or in icq 431528325. please)

  • sorry for my english)

  • It's a Sony Handycam HDR-CX6EK. The problem with using DVD camcorders is that the speed with which is can write to the DVD is a little slow. Because of the way that the digital video is encoded, this means that panning shots tend to produce a flicker effect where the refresh rate on the video is low. This means that match moving tends not to work very well. DV cameras tend to work best, but we use a memory card camera which also works pretty well. Both are much quicker write speeds than DVD.

  • what do you think about Sony Handycam HDR-HC9E?

it writes on miniDV kassete in FullHD.

I think its very good camera.

    Thanks.

  • I've heard good things, but I've never used one. I imagine it would work very well for match moving though.

  • so that means... I CAN GET HEADCRABS INTO THE REAL WORLD?! WHOOO AWEFUCKINGSOME! downtloading right now!

  • so im guessing that cube is the virtual object

  • @poopeywater Nope it's the computer and the window.

  • @poopeywater wrong! it was the radiator, realistic isnt it?

  • hm... cannot post a link here...why?

    @fusslteppich : google mal nach "[fictionality] :: tutorials:matchmoving" . das sollte helfen

  • ^^ another problem i have is, that camera view doesn't work, i googled that too, but didn't find an answer... and none of my friends has the same problem, at all of them it works... althoough they have "vista" (like me... firtstly i thought that would be the problem)...that's so fuckin makin me agressiv, you know... you just want to blender but your fucking camera view doesn't work... without it you can't do all the cool stuff

do you maybe know why it doesn't work??

  • how the hell can i convert avis to a targa file sequence??... i just googled it and the only thing i find is hw to convert image sequences to avis... fuck you google!!

    can you please help me

  • hello friend you can convert avi files into targa by downloading virtualdub from digilab google a tutorial on how to use it is very simple or find a tutorial on youtube hope i helped take care.

  • thx very much^^

  • How did you make a shadow??? Please

  • make a plane right under the cube, and choose the option "only shadow" add a light source and your done :D - basicly :)

  • i cant make the meshes i put in appear in the render after i follow the tutorial in the description

Can someone please help me? i have no idea what i did wrong

  • Send me a private message and I'll give you my email. Then you can mail me the .blend file and I'll take a look.

  • oh thank you, but i just figured it out, and it worked

  • Cool :)

  • its not a video is it ? cause i can see no paralax ! you have to take a more challenging video !

  • It is a video. It was made to demonstrate how to do match moving with blender and voodoo. As such, it was purposely made simple so that is would produce good results that would be easy to duplicate if someone was following the tutorial. The basic technique could be applied to more complex videos.

The 'advanced' in the title is only to differentiate it from another post of this video with no shadow or reflection in it.

  • Very nice !!!

How did you do to make the reflection of the cube on the table ?

  • Nice! The two free software!

    Long live Blender and Vodoo!

  • im complety new to the world of Blender. and so this maybe a stupid question, but you need Vodoo to add Blender cgi in real life?

(i hear Maya can do that on its own)

  • Is there any way to change the position of the ground plane (the way you can in Icarus)?

  • Can anyone explain how you actually get a shadow and a reflection?

  • I just figured it out now.

instead of using the video sequence to put the original video in your render, you should load the video as a texture and use it for the world texture. i cant explain it well but it works out. ill make a tutorial to it soon.

  • Check the details on the video: There is a link to the tutorial.

  • How do you do that?

  • So smooth movement! I can't see any jumping on the cube. Great!

  • that's because it's a steady shot from a trypod. you can use that option while tracking if i'm not mistaken.
