It's a Sony Handycam HDR-CX6EK. The problem with using DVD camcorders is that the speed with which is can write to the DVD is a little slow. Because of the way that the digital video is encoded, this means that panning shots tend to produce a flicker effect where the refresh rate on the video is low. This means that match moving tends not to work very well. DV cameras tend to work best, but we use a memory card camera which also works pretty well. Both are much quicker write speeds than DVD.
^^ another problem i have is, that camera view doesn't work, i googled that too, but didn't find an answer... and none of my friends has the same problem, at all of them it works... althoough they have "vista" (like me... firtstly i thought that would be the problem)...that's so fuckin makin me agressiv, you know... you just want to blender but your fucking camera view doesn't work... without it you can't do all the cool stuff
how the hell can i convert avis to a targa file sequence??... i just googled it and the only thing i find is hw to convert image sequences to avis... fuck you google!!
hello friend you can convert avi files into targa by downloading virtualdub from digilab google a tutorial on how to use it is very simple or find a tutorial on youtube hope i helped take care.
It is a video. It was made to demonstrate how to do match moving with blender and voodoo. As such, it was purposely made simple so that is would produce good results that would be easy to duplicate if someone was following the tutorial. The basic technique could be applied to more complex videos.
The 'advanced' in the title is only to differentiate it from another post of this video with no shadow or reflection in it.
instead of using the video sequence to put the original video in your render, you should load the video as a texture and use it for the world texture. i cant explain it well but it works out. ill make a tutorial to it soon.
thumbs up for the blender default cube

it writes on miniDV kassete in FullHD.
I think its very good camera.
Thanks.

I've heard good things, but I've never used one. I imagine it would work very well for match moving though.

How do you do that?
lex824 3 years ago
So smooth movement! I can't see any jumping on the cube. Great!
alexander256 3 years ago
that's because it's a steady shot from a trypod. you can use that option while tracking if i'm not mistaken.
