Can you give me some statistics on Reservation? statistics like - what is a percentage? Who are all giving reservations? Let's start with New Year. Have you ever been to South Mumbai on New Years Eve? Ganesh Festival - do I have to speak anything on this? Shivaji Park - instead of using it as a playground all political parties use it as a Stage for POWER Show. What about the gatherings in Shivaji Park?
Dahi kala - All Handi are on road. Talk about that traffic. Mumbai Band - something happened in Kolkatta and they are calling Mumbai-Bandh. There are so many events that stops Mumbai. But seems you can't look at those issues. You are more interetsed in RESERVATION.
The whole year the poor man save something for this single day. So that they can pay homage to a person who gave them a new life - not just a new life - but taught them to live with respect. You will never understand this - Cup with full of tea cannot occupy more tea unless you empty it. Your mind is set - and you don't want to understand anything else.

I'm a marathi manoos myself. I am also not ignorant of the importance of Punyatithi. But why hold our city hostage? Why bring everything to a standstill? Homage does not mean numbers, it means respect. It can be shown in many ways, but this is simply not one of them. Distribute books in Babasaheb's name, spread literacy, ideals which Babasaheb himself tried establishing. I hope i made my point clear. No hurt emotions. Peace out.
hey did U ever had to walk from work to Home (mostly in Andheri to Juhu during ganesh visarjan...it takes for ever to reach home beacuse some people hold the whole area hostage for 14 days
