XNA and C# is only 1-2% slower on the CPU and games are mostly GPU anyway. It also requires less coding for the same result. C++ is 25 years old and isn't as organized. Things are changing. Both languages will be widely used for developers.

C# game programming isn't the best. Microsoft should make XNA for C++ instead. C++ is the best when it comes to game programming. Doom 3 is coded in C++
impressive game, only i was looking for an actual sphere rendered in XNA, wrong place i guess lol

That is awfully presumptuous of you to say..

Oh yeah, look at me, I'm an elitist programmer, ASM is the best!
Please. There's a reason why XNA uses C#, and it's exactly because of its easier approach and managed structure. Both which C++ isn't.
Real games that need the absolutely best performance will always be done on C++, but for everything else, C# is a leap forward.

...so how do I get this to run on Linux?

even if the slow-mo effect isn't on purpose, it's still very cool ;)
