The most subtly cool thing about this is that there are a ton of kids' songs where you lose one thing each verse (monkeys on the bed, etc.) and in this one none of the soup ever spills. Plus my 5 year old knows it by heart and hearing her do the ending cracks me up every time. "Some radar dishes in a Very Large Array" is a funny thing to hear a kid say.

why would anyone admit to being 47 if they weren't? i'm 47. i'm female. i'm married & have 2 sons who are all grown up. i use a lot of emoticons at my message board, so i tend to type em in, even when they only show as text.

i've been a TMBG fan since the 80s, & i love everything they do. i raised my boys on their adult songs & they turned out great. kid's songs weren't an option then.

Well then stop watching their videos if you don't like them. I have seen you post on a few videos as to how "gay" or "stupid" these videos are. If you don't like them, stop watching them. And, from your other comments, it seems to me that you might benefit from these videos (you need help with your spelling and grammar). For your information, these albums and DVDs are ranked #3 for educational material for kids. I am 31 and proud to say that I watch these videos with or without my son.

Nine bowls of soup! This song is great. It is a lot of fun, all their kid stuff is, and it is great to have something to listen to with my four year old son that actually helps us bond.

I love Older also, but have talked to quite a few people who dislike the song. I guess it might be a bit strange, but i think it's the stark reality of it that adds to my liking it so much.

my daughter is four and she knows what an icthyosaur is and brontosaurus, triceratops, tyrannosaurus, diplodocus, ankylosaur, stegosaurus, pterodactyl, etc. etc. etc.

When my nephiew was 3 he could name many animals from the rainforest that I didn't even know. He could identify them too. He also knew the icthyosaur, arcioperix, and could tell the difference between an Allosaurous and a T-Rex. My dad can't even do that last part right half the time.
