  • John Starks is not 6'5." 6'3" at best. I remember seeing Pippen (who I think is more like 6'9") guarding Starks and Pippen absolutely dwarfed him. The other shooting guards in the league were usually taller than him. Starks was tough, but was perenially torched by Jordan. Jordan used to feed on good 2 guards like Starks, Dumars, and Stackhouse. Hell, Reggie Miller usually got the better of Starks as well.

  • That 360 layup on Rodman was SICK! Starks, top 5 fav Knick of all time! NYK hasnt had a player like him since & Nate is cool but compared to Starks, he's not even close! The Knicks of 94 was the BEST!

  • Is it just me or does he seem much shorter than 6'5"... He elevates so high to dunk. Back in the day I thought he was 6'0"

  • @EVSjahms

I met him when I was playing ball in HS. I'm 6'3 and he was right about 2 inches taller than me.

  • @EVSjahms Hes Actually 6'3

  • We miss you Starks!!!

  • That dunk over Mark West was vicious...and the move at 2:10, just sick!

  • Ohhhh, nice song choice.

  • I miss the first part of 90'S knicks, the warriors of the nba, Patrick ewing, john Starks, Anthony Mason, Charles Oakley, Charles Smith, Hubert Davis, Anthony Bonner, Dereck Harper, Greg Anthony, Herb Williams...thank you guys, but it was Michael!!

  • I know it's asking a lot, but I'd love to see Oak's #34 in the rafters!

  • Well said, #3 should be in rafters!! (Marbury sucks compared to STARKS)

  • Marbury sucks (even on Boston) compared to JONNY STARKS!

  • RETIRE #3!!! John Starks was Knicks basketball!

  • I LOVE SEX WHO ELSE IS WITH ME? 8

  • 360 lay up...disgusting

  • 2:10 is just sick. Ayayaya, and on the Worm too, that's just even better.

  • That play at 1:01? Hell will freeze over before you see our current Knicks squad laying themselves out like that.

  • Right on, awesome video!! John Starks is my favorite player of all time. The Knicks should retire #3.

  • I love "the dunk" but that 360 layup against the bulls at 2:08 was a thing of beauty!

  • No one stood up to MJ like Starks did. My fav shooting guard of all time. "I got heart like John Starks" - Beastie Boys "Get It Together." Knicks should retire his jersey.

  • hell yeah! the real #3! Starks

  • music is by dilated peoples. track is called worst comes to worst

  • GREAT PLAYER AND SONG

  • I wish Starks was still playing. They should retire his number. Marbury ain't doing nothing with it

  • Do u guys agree that he's not really an offensive player but is definitely one of the greatest defensive players of all time?

  • he was not really defense over offense or the other way around, he was just a raw and tough player on both sides thats what gained him status in the NBA, he checked M.J. on defense and at the same time got to the basket against any team he played against for the dunk, so he was all around tough, and he was a scorer, until he fell into a slump he didnt recover from.

  • Maybe his 3 best dunks ever came left handed. The dunk on the Bulls is on here, so is the dunk on Zo.

This vid is missing his dunk on Olajuwon, maybe his best dunk ever

  • Thats my chilhood right there

Always will be #3. They should have hung up his number. One of the grittiest players of all time.

  • was the name of this track is by ganstar?

  • what are the names of the songs and who sings em?

  • Im pretty sure he is retired have no clue what hes up to

  • Thanks for this. STarks was the man and he was crazy. I have the poster of him dunking on Jordan. I was screaming and I was too happy. Thank you sooooo much for posting. Those were the days. Where is Starks now, do you know

  • starks is my favorite player of all time, wish we still had someone like him on the team

  • nvm i found out

  • who sing this song?

  • i he had played like that all the time he would've been one of the greats. he did scare the hell out of bulls fans.
