It's a Huge shame Marco doesn't run for VP or President. He is clearly the guy to beat BHO on any debate! As mentioned by skipreb1, he does speak from his heart and he knows the fundemental value of being an American citizen with opportunies, through his parents he knows about hard work !

@mauibrad Yes, he does meet all the requirements. He's over 35 years old(40 years old). He is a native-born citizen. He has resided in the U.S. for more than 14 years(his whole life). It would help to be informed, before you accuse others of being ill-informed.

@mauibrad He was born in the United States, which by definition makes him a "natural-born citizen." Where his parents were born, or what citizenship they hold, is irrelevant. As long as they are human, they could have been born on Mars and that does not change Rubio's citizenship. There are are only two types of U.S. citizenship: natural-born and naturalized. Rubio clearly falls in the first category and, hence, is eligible to run for president.

@mauibrad nope - the rules you're misquoting are for children born to US citizens while outside of the US (or on US territory - bases, embassies, etc.) Illegals give birth to US citizens, his parents were most likely legal residents on asylum from Cuba or already citizens.

Senator Rubio is following in the shoes of President Reagan. You can sense his sincerity when he speaks. He speaks from his heart and he has done his homework regarding his facts. I have been blessed to have spent 24 years as a US Naval Aviator traveling the world fighting communism and socialism in other countries. Now I am fighting against Socialism in my America. I believe Senator Rubio may lead this country someday as President of the US and would do well in that role.

what i dont understand is why people are saying he should be the next vp or he has a future in the republican party when rand paul has done more in the senate then rubio has, for the first 4 months since they both were elected i never heard from marco rubio but i heard from rand paul every week, rand has proposed more bills to cut spending and government then rubio has
