@gogmorgoaway The way their registration and inspection system works, it becomes more expensive to own a car the older it gets. Most people upgrade every 3 or 4 years, 7 at the most. You've gotta be a REAL enthusiast to own an old car in Japan :)

Surprising that the Japanese still have an active interest in the older model cars. I thought it would be all the new vehicles like the RX-8's, Skylines etc.

I love my motor sport, I'll be heading off to the Formula 1 Grand Prix next month. Got me a weekend grand stand pass at turns 1 & 2 where all the action is. Good thing about it is that there are a few different racing challenges from different categories over the weekend.So there's plenty of action happening all day over the 4 day event.
