this movie is bad....not saying just because its different than the originals, but its just poorly made. All the graphics are are just bloody modernistic/punk-style gore, and loud episodes such as the one @ the beginning of this clip are the only things that contribute to the dramatic flair of the entire movie. It's fine to be different from the originals, as these newer versions are very original in themselves, but they way theyre depicted makes a really bad impression on the Halloween movies.

The thing that made the originals so scary was the idea that a normal child, from a normal family, (not from a broken home) for no reason at all starts killing and will not stop for anything. This movie is just an excuse to use bad language and for gore all over people. WEAK!!!

as a huge fan of the original series: this one is the only one i dont care for. I think rob zombie did a really good job on the first one, and i understand that this is his interpretation of the follow up, but he fucked up big time with michael myers on this one, i mean part of the mystery that makes michael myers scary is you know nothing about him, i dont wanna see him without his mask with long hair, i dont want to hear him talk or grunt when he kills people, shit.

For the most part I agree with you. But, when the original part 2 came out it also got panned by alot of people. Atfirst I didn't like that most of the movie didn't happen in the hospital like in the original, but some scenes were cool. And, Myers grunted in the original movies. For example when he was attacking Lori in the closet. But, nothing can beat an original but I'd rather see this film than alot of other peices of trash films.
