  • I think you guys are forgetting the major fact that the RMAH money you're gonna get can ONLY be used to purchase Blizz products like game time for WoW, vanity pets etc etc.

  • @Kryndon64 Hey, didnt hear that before, where did you get that information from? :)

  • @MiltenMichal Sadly I cannot find the exact source but I do recall seeing this statement in one of the informative notes on the RMAH by Blizz. Still I might be wrong!

  • Can't compete with no life mode! You just can't!

  • The thing i want to know about... if D3 is going to have real money AH AND in-game money AH.... wouldn't the in-game AH be utterly useless like shit... i mean what idiot will use the in-game AH to put up incredible items when they can put it up on the real money AH to get real money... so im thinking the ppl who don't want to spend real money won't really have shit to buy from the in-game AH... this is just my assumption but... i think it will be this way... which kinda sux for casual players.

  • @roksoulja84 LOL, you would really rather sell your items for real money than for in-game currency? You're basically saying that you'd rather play D3 to make money than to have fun

  • @Tha2ndWimp who says you can't have fun while u put up items for real money.. i mean its part of the game content... all im saying is you CAN make money while u play... so why wouldn't ppl do that.... its free money in ur pockets.... and like u said BECAUSE of teh real money AH there WILL be ppl who plays for makin the money... which comes down to my original issue...

  • @roksoulja84 Fair enough then. I guess the only way to solve this would be to make some items soulbound like in WoW.

  • @Tha2ndWimp i love how D3 is turning out from the videos and and beta plays and all... i love everything about it EXCEPT the real money AH... my god i really hope it doesnt ruin my gameplay... i understand blizz's decision to make the rael money AH because of the ridiculous amount of hackers and 3rd party item sellers online but couldn't they have come up witha better solution arrgh... like u said soulbound items like wow could have worked... :(

  • @roksoulja84 agreed

  • athene has never been rank 1 in europe, he was rank 1 in his division ONLY

  • Will beta characters keep their level and stuff once d3 will be released???

  • @yetiraper No :)

  • Allot of people commenting on here have no fucking clue what they're talking about. The best items in D3 will be 10 cents? You're comparing a games 10 year old economy which consisted of dupes and hacks (even on ladder), which might I add 4-5 years ago were not 10 cents, people were selling some items for 50-100$ every day.

  • that dudes voice kinda sounds like the gaurds from skyrim

  • lol how his guest basically said one real argument why he thinks the real money auction house is cool. "that the people are able to sell stuff and make money themselves." great argument. *applause*. so the pros outweigh the contras? so what are the pros besides clamping down the "black market" for items?

  • @gozxdesastros what other pros do you need?

  • @A1R3D3E7 the point here is that I think he should list a few more arguments than just one to say that the pros clearly overweight the cons. Since he did not list any other pro or con, I have the feeling that he did not think about it right and just hypes it.

  • @gozxdesastros getting scam out of the game is pretty huge pro in my books and I see no cons with the system except butthurt crying that floods the forums

  • @A1R3D3E7 To mention the cons I thought about:

1.) There is no visual indicator whether a player is skilled or if he plays often or not.

2.) I think this solution tends to make some people at some point play the game just because of the money they can make of it instead of the fun of the game itself. This puts Blizz in a bad light for me because I have the feeling that they are more focused to manipulate people with other things to play their games than because of the game itself.

  • @A1R3D3E7 3.) This solution also lowers the amount of people who would potentially group with someone who does not want to improve their gear with real money.

4.) It might be an issue for non adults since they maybe are not allowed to play with real money.

I cant remember of a solution to anything that had no cons at all and to believe that the solution of the real money auction house is one of these maybe is a bit too optimistic.

  • @gozxdesastros 1) uh... since when has gear showed how skilled you are? even less in diablo 3 since the loot is completely random. 2) getting loot is the best thing in the game along with hack and slash mechanics. its just bonus you can get real money if you find some super good loot. 3) prove it. you are talking out of your ass because you think this is the case. 4) the game is rated M in usa.

  • @A1R3D3E7 1) There is an Inferno difficulty mode which has certain skill and equipement requirements. And I said the equip of someone shows how skilled OR/AND how much he plays.

    2) As I said. Maybe for you it is. But I think there would have been better solutions than waving with a bit of money.

    3) Ill write you a personal message how I think this could happen because there not enough space here.

    4) On the wiki page it says its for 16+

  • @gozxdesastros 1) yes and on diablo 2 people bought items with real money to get the best gear so this point is void

    2) uh... are you saying you play this for something else than the gear and fight mechanics(which make the fun portion of the game)? only thing that comes in mind is story but that you see on the first playtrough

    3) please do.

    4) go to the offical diablo 3 page and swap the zone to usa and it shows M rating. It doesnt matter if kids cant buy items since its optional

  • @A1R3D3E7 1) No the point is not void. The point would be void if I would have claimed that there is no solution needed to the problem of item selling.

    2) For me the most fun thing is to explore this world and the story that it tells. Collecting equip and enhancing the character with it is only the motivation to go further ahead with the content in the game. So what this money system does, is that it gives you motivation to play the game even if you already finished its content.

  • @A1R3D3E7 2) This is just a cheap way for the developers to let you repeat the same content over and over again just for the sake of the reward and not because of the fun of the content.

    3) as soon as I have the time/mood to do it.

    4) I think it always matters if you can use 100% of a product you payed for or less.

  • @gozxdesastros 1) the purpose of the shop is ofcouse to make money to blizzard but the fact is people who want to buy gear with real money will do it and blizzard fixed the scamming so its great bonus. you dont have to use it.

    2) dont be ridiclous! are you seriously saying people will stop having fun because there is a CHANCE they get money out of it???

    4) its called selling to target audience. if target audience isnt kids then you dont have to take care of them

  • no D3 in Korea? LOL wow! there will be suicides.

  • @Bookur1981 Oh sorry , i don't follow this guy like a lost puppy.. it was a genuine question. relax and try not to pop an arterie...

We can't ALL be fanboys like you , some of us have confidence in our own ability to play something without having to idolize other people.

    So ok , he's joking.

    point taken , jeesh..

  • @Okurion you don't have to follow someone like a lost puppy to understand the concept of sarcasm, and irony. And how am i a fanboy? I'd be a fanboy if i actually thought he was the " best gamer in the world ". Instead i'm just someone with an iq high enough to see that his whole persona is satire, and i have a hard time relating with people who are too dumb to know what's going on

  • nobody's gonna make an "income" off of this, im sure the most powerful items will be less than 10 cents each. Theyre already super cheap in diablo 2 with all the gold farming sites, and with millions of people uploading items it will be even cheaper.

  • @Pcoar Gold farmers will be restricted from RMAH and will only be able to use gold AH.

  • @Pcoar it will definitely be more money than that. As of right now, there is a minimum listing price of $1.50. and since you can only have 10 auctions up at a time, it will mean that people will only be putting up really good quality items, that are rare drops.

  • @Pcoar well this argument has been said so many times but you never played diablo 2 did you? gold was almost useless and people bought stuff with real money or bought items with other items but gold rarely changed hands especially since it had so low limit early on. actually because there are so many players it increases the amount of people ready to buy stuff with real money and the drop rates will be extremely low on good stuff

  • @A1R3D3E7 lol why does everyone one these videos think that theyre the only person who ever played diablo 2? No ive logged over a thousand hours on it,

  • @Pcoar because your logic is so flawed. if you knew the prices on diablo 2 stuff you wouldnt sprout stuff like that

  • btw Jay wilson stated that you wont be able to make a living out of this, only minimal extra buck

  • @Okurion you understand he's an actor and its a bit that he does right? Or are you genuinely upset about an entertainer pretending to be something. Just like...every other entertainer

  • @xYggdrasilx Not upset :P i was genuinely asking.

HE didnt make a joke , that other guy said he was best , thats why im asking.

Like i said , i've only seen him in like 2-3 vids..

  • Fuck this shit. I want to buy a game, not another job...

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be impossible to play this game casually and enjoy every aspect of it if you don't go in the upcoming crazy grinding market. Can't believe blizzard went against it's own policy in every previous game...

  • @Pepperhash go play your overrated skyrim then, fag!

  • This video is too old. Blizzard said u couldn't pick out money from the currency u earn

  • @Tobyturnerfan1 when and where did they say that?

  • @DuckyLoveD2FPK There's 2 options. In-game currency gets converted to either Battle.net Balance, which you can't cashout OR you can have linked a PayPal account to cashout each individual auction. If you don't, money on Battle.net can only be used at the Blizzard Store.

  • @Portubed Ahh right so there actually is a cash out option, jst link it to paypal lol.

  • @Tobyturnerfan1 you cant take out the battle.net balance money so use it wisely.

  • Can't compete against chinese farmer, nope. Even if i could i wouldn't want to, it's a matter of principle

  • @Dehuman666 Asia wont be able to use RMAH only gold AH so thats fixed.

  • Comment removed

  • I played D2 for 10 years, I'm against the D3 RMAH because it's an insentive for chinese farmers to make more money on it, and thus reduce the opportunity for us real gamers to drop good items, and push us to buy more, which ruins the game. Two scenarios can come out of that, terrible inflation or deflation of the highly demanded items and an incredible increase in game frustation

  • @Dehuman666 The incentive was already there, this just means you don't need to worry about unscrupulous people trying to rip you off by reneging on the deal after they have your CCN

  • @Dehuman666 you still dont get it dude, right? Item Selling WILL HAPPEN. One Way or the other. I prefer the legit/save way and might make some good cash with it. Nothing wrong with that.

  • if you make more videos with Athene , i gonna unsubscribe

  • @therkwar go ahead, Athene rocks and you are Clueless dude.

  • Force laughs at the end of the video xD

  • what game does he say at 00:49-00:51

  • @IVI4SSG3N0CYD3 Except Ultima Online, but thats an MMO.

  • 1 big side of a real money AH, is its going to eliminate other websites from selling diablo 3 items.

  • more athene ! :)

  • This is the first time I considered the money auction house for actually paying for the game. That actually is probably the best point for me. Even if it would take several months I would still consider it a win.

  • fuck his english.

  • cool video

  • you lose your character on hardcore---fucking unbelievable.

  • And as far as having other things to worry about this one of the ways we keep focused on our jobs to some of us this is how we keep our sanity while working here...

  • 11:25 regarding people in war-zones I work in Afghanistan and I am not sure if Blizzard's take on online play has changed but it would really be disappointing if I would not be able to play this game because of the online restriction high bandwidth is a luxury that we do not have over here and gaming sites are blocked due to the high bandwidth they require and the network resources that they use..I hope blizzard will take this into consideration...

  • Athene say "like" alot

  • I played Diablo 2 for years. (the Diablo series is my favorite BY FAR) I never once bought a 3rd party item for the game. But then again, I don't mind farming and grinding till I get what I want or until I make enough of something else to trade for what I want. I don't need the best gear in the game to be good. But with that being said, the auction house for D3 doesn't worry me. I look forward to selling stuff on there myself. :D

  • I believe guys that blizzard wants to earn money from these procedures. They could easily have an auction house with game gold transactions. 3rd parties couldn't benefit, since the online gaming will not allow people to get items and hacks from other sources. But apparently they see a benefit in taxes from real money auction transactions...

  • Concerning the constant internet connection, although it is the future, we are not there yet. Many people don't have proper internet connection all the time and some people have wireless connection which is not stable at all. Although blizzard guarantees that their servers are perfect, who guarantees anyone else's internet provider? I believe that if blizzard wants to do that, give the possibility to people to play offline, and seperate your online experience for those who want to do so.

  • @Fluffypuff1000 that would allow modding which is what blizzard does not want

  • Anyway, if you want to get a living, get a job. A video game exists to offer you an alternative reality where reality does not exist. If we start to recapitulate our everyday problems and anxieties in the game, then there is not any point playing it.

  • @Fluffypuff1000 Making a living off gaming is becoming more and more popular actually. Not just talking about people who make a living off competitive gaming (such as SC2 pros and so on) Though people making a living off recording footage for youtube and something that's getting very popular now is Streaming. I haven't seen one streamer complain that gaming is now his "job" more or less to them it's a dream job.

  • Are you kidding me guys???? First of all, a game is a game and if we involve buying and selling stuff, people will stop playing the game for the fun of it, but will start hunting rare items for selling.... which is crap! Apart from that, do you really think that our accounts will be safe enough to use credit cards? People hack less popular sites to steal money.... imagine diablo iii real auction house that will be one of the most popular sites in the world.

  • @Fluffypuff1000 if i remember correctly blizzard has decided to use pay pal to help coordinate the RMAH transactions. and yes i would trust paypal with my credit card number

  • props to the ron paul ad before the video! :)

    ron paul+ diablo 3= WIN

  • Bill Gates will own everyone !!! :P

  • This video is WIN. I love your comments, and fully agree with everything you say. One thing i'm worried about is internet security, i will definetly not put my credit card online, but then you look at the problem of, what if i want the best items, people wont sell them for in game gold when they could be making some dollars. I just love the game, the single and multiplayer and having fun, i hope i can acctually benefit from the non-money auction house.

  • these guys are not serious. NOONE will get any real money from this game. Even if it is possible, freak geek hackers will make 1000 bots per month to get stupid 10 $. Prices will inflate like in Weimar republic, cmon, gosu items will cost 0,3 $ or so. Forget about real money from tihs game. And after massive hacking and 1 or 2 year fight with this, Blizzard will cut out the auction house.

  • @leihoa

blizzard will cut out any account thats involved in the slightest hacking, botting or cheating in any way ...

and then they don't cut their own flesh like in wow since there are no monthly fee's that they would loose..

the guys that hacks.. and get banned will have to buy a new acc!

  • The real problem with the RMAH is that goldsellers these days don't farm gold. They hack accounts and steal the gold.

Now they'll be able to do the same, and profit directly from the theft, rather than have to wait till someone buys gold.

This will make account hacking far more profitable... and common.

  • ahhhhh atheme force STOP compareing diablo 3 with world of fuckin gayness... 2 different games wows gay diablo pwns! live it learn it love it... FFS!

  • it sets the wrong focus i think

  • Why should money have anything to do about the game?

  • Had to pause the video to type a quote "if they have no life mode" that's why I'll just settle on being level 60 quickly... not first.

  • Whats the mmo athene is talkin about? :D

  • @TheSmokezalot ultima online

  • In order for people to make money, many others will have to lose money. The idea that this RMAH is universally going to make the lives of gamers better is simply not true.

While I support the RMAH as a cool idea and interesting economic mechanic, I don't understand how players would rather pay real money for items instead of paying with "free" gold gained while playing the game, and playing the game is the fun part.

  • so i see a lot of people hating on athene, guys he has a high paying job working with computers and then has the time to play games. He obviously is successful. I like how Force actually looks at diablo 3 with a flashback sense to diablo 2. By adding an auction house the game isnt made/broke its just an extra perk. I bet many people stick to the classic find and trade method which works. this is basically just a more organized way for players who need an item can find it easier than asking round

  • I dont see why the majority of you are complaining about how buying gear on the AH with real money is going to ruin the game.... even with or without the ah selling items for real money people will still make sites like they did in D2 to sell sets of gear for like 7 bucks and diablo 2 was not ruined at all. that game still owns and just cause D3 will have a in game real money AH doesnt meen the game will be ruined. It will be just as good as D2 even better.

  • Certainly great vid. I agree with everything you guys are saying.

  • HAHA! we have some real Athene haters in here! cmon guys dont be jealous, because he is making money with trolling you! i must say i appreciate his kind of making fun and jokes about everything! i dont get it! why is anybody so annoyed by that dude? you have to admit, that he is just great at doing whatever he is doing. Anyway...take it easy!

  • Athene got on my nerves in this video. Don't like him at all.

  • A no brainer? Look at any game where real world trading comes into play. The Asian Gold farmers are going to be ALL OVER THIS. they will control the market hands down. Especially when bots are made for this. This game won't last long. and for the Casual gamer this game is going to be absolutely miserable. Athene is stupid as fuck, just saying.

  • Jellies my bronies ?

  • Athene best troll in teh nerd world!

    FUCK Athene nerd.

  • @359M91 FUCK YOU

  • @CodeShred Blizz only makes money on transactions after a certain number. Real money transactions also do cost blizz money. That being said they are probably looking for some profit, but it's not as greedy as it seems.

  • good bye d2jsp Lol.....

  • Can't really respect someone who openly admits he would use an exploit at release.

  • Lawl. Leave it to Blizzard to stimulate the economy and pull the U.S out of the recession :P

  • The auction house isn't really a reversal of micro-transactions..Blizzard making a dime on each transaction is actually straight in the direction of more video game companies wanting to make money off of micro-transactions. Right?

  • diablo3beta.pcriot.com

Tumbs up because i say so

  • How can you ask Athene IF he like using real money in Diablo 3? It's years he's trying to make money from playing.

Why don't you ask also another expert player who doesn't like the idea?

  • why is Fagthene sitting in a toilet?

  • I have newfound respect for Athene after this video. Nice work guys.

  • Athene didn't get lvl 80 world first. Blizz stopped him at lvl 79 for exploiting a game mechanic. So please check before you talk. And about being the best... No comment. Srsly I don't get it why people even watch this troll's videos. He even tried making a documentary about "his" theory that unified gravity and quantum physics... Laughable! Really appreciate the Diablo 3 videos btw :)

  • If I am going to spend real money on an in game item those stats better transfer to real life, I want my +20 to all resistances and 10% faster run/walk speed!!!!

  • @Pinkertin89 I'll take a stamina boost. I'm sure my exs would agree XD

  • 3 i ment

  • Moar vids about diablo tho i get a chubby from Um

  • not shure how athene is the best . he is nice but poorly geared and world first dosent make u da best gamer i got 5 world first for proff and first 25man heroic lich king kill

  • Is he said world's best player or best paladin in the world? Haha these nobs thought doing world fisrt max lvl cap let you be best in the world?

I played all these games since Diablo 1 and Warcraft 1 and saw many good people at pvp (3k+ rated at WoW some of them) , never heard like these from them 'Iam number 1'

  • @Trakbe What you said is right he isn't top pally in the world, but you got the pvp thing wrong. The best players are in pve because wow is made around pve not pvp.

  • I think u guys have missed the point of what games r supposed to be fun and not second source of income...what about casual players, u nerds gonna play it everyday, buy stuff while casual players can play once per week and then they see u have a great set because u could buy it...the real money auction house ruins it for them...u only speak for hardcore gamers i'm afraid....

  • @Alanadoredor naw man that's nonsense that's like saying in real life people who work hard at what they do shouldn't be able to get farther ahead than people who only work occasionally. You want a socialist Diablo III??!?

If there wasn't an online auction house you'd have those billions of bots and lewt sites selling sketchy ass items and spamming games with their garbage. It was the natural thing to do, now people have no chance of getting scammed since it's all incorporated.

  • @ReadGuitarTabs true but thats real life and real work....some ppl can't devote all their life to the game...so what? should they just go and fuck themselves then? some just want to play it for fun...and this WILL ruin it for them cause there's no sense of competition anymore...it's pointless for them to even try...this is basically turning into another WoW

  • DID THEY SAY DIABLO 3 IS GOING TO BE FREE TO PLAY :O?! like u dnt have to buy it?

  • @Slasher9339 No, you will have to buy it, but it won't be any monthly fees like in WoW.

  • @mrLEETBOX ok good

  • Pictures of Gargantuan: /watch?v=mga6nB9ctFg

    Very nice!

  • ty too =)

  • I made a thread that is (in some way) a response to Athene when it comes to Witch Doctor being OP in pve in the D3 community site in the Witch Doctor section of the forum. The thread name is: PvE PT Build. Not 4 witch Doctors!!!

    have fun mates! xD

  • over 9000 "like"

  • Ok if you think you cant make money off this game your dead wrong dont forget you can sell toons and if you want only sell the ultra rare stuff thats were the money will be and trust me people wont be posting every junk item they find when that only will cost them money since it wont sell Athene i used to hate your videos cause you are so loud but now that i know your are a D2 fan as i was for 8 years i like you a little more LOL still gonna own your ass in d3 just watch and see my friend.

  • Actually Makotoichio, blizzard is taking a cut every time someone posts, sells, and cashes out. That's why the RMAH is in the game( so blizz makes money). The RMAH does nothing for gameplay except allows you to buy items rather than find them, and finding them was the point of the game in d2. Items will be so heavily farmed by people who want to make money, they will be worth less. Its supply and demand. Its in there to make Blizzard money.. that.s why its there. Blizz isnt stupid.

  • @Pinkertin89 Without the RMAH, then people will go back to buying from shady third-party sites. And your assumption that people won't make money off of it is completely unfounded, unless you've seen the full game, and you have some inside information. Blizzard isn't taking a percentage of the sale, they're getting a flat rate per item sold. Stop making speculations as if they're true.

  • lol at 16:40

  • at max 60, a sword costs $100, when expansion come out, lvl cap raises to 70, the 60's swords cost $1 then... careful about RMAH

  • No Life Mode: engage!

  • I have seen several D3 VODS now, and it just looking amazingly easy and boring as hell.

  • @Hetzish Really? The first third of the first act on the easiest difficulty looks easy? No way!

  • 15:10 Pretty sure that'll be hotfix'd now.

  • Really give me a beta already..........

  • ROFL make money off d3 to pay for college.... yea right

  • @rush2905 Some people have jobs just playing Wow, not that unrealistic.

  • Can u help my group? it is Group935x and we are doing a giveaway... but mainly we need people to vote for our contest.. it would be awesome if u guys could promote my group a lil .. even 100 people who vote for my contest will guarntee a win for me.....

  • honestly though the real money auction house is another way for ppl who random find crazy items who are young to possibly make some realish cash even to like 100$ for something crazy enough

  • I have played D2 HC extensively. The RMAH doesn't stop over-farming, it actually promotes it from everyone. This will make the game lose its sense of achievement, people who pay will be better than people who play. With the market flooded, any item common enough to be found by the average gamer will be worth almost nothing. The lure of any 1 person making money is a joke, the person making money is Blizzard, off of micro transactions. I hope there are some items that can't be sold. Thank you.

  • @Pinkertin89 Well said and completely true. Only reason why Blizzard would allow real money transactions is to benefit their profits - perhaps to bring in that extra monthly cash since D3 is not pay to play like WOW is.

  • @Pinkertin89 Completely agree. Well said, I find cheats/shortcuts/real money involvement cut down on game play time and that sense of achievement waaaay too much to make them worth it

  • Comment removed

  • @Pinkertin89 The fact that rich people will be more powerful than you gives you - the poor guy, I assume - the chance to sell to him. You won't be able to match the profits of an organized group, but I'm confident you will be able to turn a small profit just by playing the game.

Blizzard will of course be making a cut off of each transactions, but they won't exploit you.

If you can't live with "rich" people being more powerful than you, get a real job.

  • @doe791 It has nothing to do with my bank account actually. If i wanted to I could buy items in d3 for real money. But giving people that ability feeds right into why over farming ruins games. Blizzard could have tried to stop it but they decided to promote it, just so long as they get pennies on every dollar sold. That equals millions of dollars pretty quick. And people like you are falling into it thinking they are going to get paid to play D3. Read between the lines.

  • Comment removed

  • @Pinkertin89 In Diablo 3 you can play Hard Core without access to the RMAH. I think this solves many of the arguments you are making here. Just play within the hard core difficulty.

  • @Pinkertin89 To conclude your statement, or to add to it. The RMAH should only allow a certain amount of items to be sold. For example, 2 Crown of Ages therefore while there is only 2 on the AH, there will only be those two to choose from. With 25 of the same item the rareness value will depreciate. Also, items only of ultra rare should be sold on the RMAH and all the less rare on the gold AH. Thank you :)

  • @Pinkertin89 c'mon dude welcome to real life the same exact thing happened on Diablo 2 except it was through sketchy 3rd party sites.

Items will be bought/sold whether it's integrated in the game or not. Why are you so concerned if people are better than you? People will always be better than someone who doesn't devote their life to it. There's no PvP in game so it doesn't matter if someone is better or not. If you're into PvP I'm sure you're pretty heavily involved anyway

  • @ReadGuitarTabs your welcoming me to real life? I feel like I might be the one welcoming you to real life when you realize that spending real money on fake items in a video game is kind of ridiculous :D "c'mon Dude" And its not a concern with people being better than me, I could be the best too all I have to do is dump my real cash into a video game. But where is the fun in that? and why should I have to do that to keep up with others.

  • @Pinkertin89 in HC mode you cannot buy items. it is disabled as far as i know. so you can buy only in sc . :)

  • @Pinkertin89 have you thought about ladder non-ladder transfer like in diablo 2? that will reset the value of items, just like in diablo 2.

  • @Pinkertin89 I saw a post on the diablo 3 page, probably a rumor, but i think that the AH is going to have an "x" number of posts per week. Not completely sure but that would make sense. I think the AH is more there for those who dont exactly have the time or are lazy to aquire items on their own to have a place where they can buy the common items. Now i also hear that there are tons of .005% or somethin drop rates so basically thats where the money will come into play in big spending

  • @Pinkertin89 Nonsense, until u cant buy experience, there will still be sense of achievment, buying items will make it just a bit easier to reach lvl 60. For me it is worth it - every time I find something great I dont need, I will make a few dollars, cool.

  • @Pinkertin89 People willing to hand over real money TO OTHER PLAYERS will have better gear... If you find a super rare item you have a choice to keep it or to let someone pay X amount of money for it; both options would give me a sense of achievement.

  • best pally in the world is like saying you're the smartest retard, the sc2 accolades are impressive however.

  • I am not against RMAH since everyone pays real money for trivial things in Facebook games like Farmville etc. But at the same time, because I have played before Diablo 2, I know how fanatic ppl can be buying very rare items so i think there has to be a cap placed on how many rare items in total, not per person in the AH can be sold as well as a ceiling limit to how much a very rare item can be sold for.

  • @billtang79 I think there will be a limit, just like how there was a limit to epic-level BoE gear in WoW. I don't think Blizzard is just going to allow people to buy their way to victory. At least I hope not.
